Question on restoring a BTC 53-series keyboard?

Hi Everyone,

a few months ago a friend of mine found an absolutely terribly dirty BTC 53-Series 5339R-O. They know that I collect boards and gave it to me. It worked and it was just dust and quite literally mud making it dirty. So I disassembled it and the foam was actually still in good shape so I decided to clean it up. Well, it cleaned up really nice and now looks good now, the issue is that it's scratchy to the point where it's unusable. I was wondering if the sliders need to be lubed or something? I washed the entire thing in water with dish soap and if there was any lube there it's long gone. The sliders are super clean and so is the slider holding plate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!
