Dome w/Slider Cleaning Question

I bought a Packard Bell KB the other day. It's a BTC 5130 keyboard. The keys bind, like, a lot. I'd like to clean it. Can you clean rubber domes with an ultrasonic or will it rip them to shreds?

You might just wanna hose them down with a shower or under a tap if you're worried about putting them in the ultrasonic cleaner. I'm not too sure about the tolerences of domes in a high pressure cleaner. So I would just play it safe.

Doesn't matter what kind of dome with slider board, I always do the same thing:

Dismantle
Warm soapy water and scrub (if necessary) on non-electrical components
Leave to dry
Lube points of contact
Test & reassemble

Reasonably labour intensive but can be spread out over two or three sessions. Low risk, great results.

Sounds like soap & water is the answer, as it most often is. Thanks for the help!

Rather than just leaving the parts to dry, put them in a box and set a hair dryer on low blowing into the box. It will take very little time to dry everything out and you don't have to play guessing games on whether or not a small deposit of water got trapped and is going to short out your board.
