I took some switches and replaced them worthy.
I just hope everyone can test it out.

I should have added my old hp618 from 2001 with 2 megapixels to the surprise box, so people could have made decent photos with only few grain, zero noise reduction and a decent size of 1200x1600.

If those are what I think they are, maybe I should get in on this if it's not too late. How physically large has the surprise container grown to?

Yes those are Omron Low operatingforce 0.74 N mouse switches. :D

I recommend to only wait one day for their response, though I'm quite sure that phetto will respond quite fast.

I am more or less searching for a few items for my mouse project. If the person who added the Omron switches could PM me where they got them from, that'd be swell.

I think it was this one:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/OMRON-D2F-01F-BA ... 485882bcbb
If you only need a few, you might be able to get them from the Surprise bag ...

ps: If there will ever be a qHack, the PCB will support these switches.

Indeed! I'm quite impressed by what's turned up in the surprise bag with 002's Realforce. It's great to just try this stuff.

Can I late register for this? I'll be happy to join at the end of the list if you'll have me, of course. Hopefully at least one of those MXLOCKs is left by then!

How do you know there are MX Locks?

Posted: 07 Sep 2013, 02:49
by Muirium
Just an assumption, as it would be ungentlemanly for anyone to take all of them…

you should put a small GPS tracking device with your SurpriseBag/Box and track it down where it's going and draw a line on a world map.

It would be cool !

I'm in Edinburgh, 56 degrees North 3 degrees West to your GPS, near enough.

Welcome to the list - and thanks for saving me from the postage costs to the US!

PS - if there's any MXLocks left, I'll leave them for you... honest...

Yeah, you dodged the bullet on that one, Hoggy. I'm hoping that the surprise isn't an impressively heavy box full of intriguing goodies but no MXLOCK! But in any case, this ought to be good. Looking forward to it.

So... five people so far of which two took pictures of the stuff they took. Is it really that hard to follow the three rules in the OP?

For those who don't participate (like me) it'd be interesting to see what's in the bag ;)
