i was thinking of ordering this thing from taobao. if i did the conversion correctly, it comes up to 60$?

does it make sense to order it from taobao? how secure is it and how long would the shipping be? i live in canada. does anyone know how much shipping/customs fees this would incur?

does it make more sense to order it from ebay? they jacked up the prices to 150 on browns, which are the ones i want, but it seems like a rip off.

$150 is indeed a ripoff. Do not buy at that price. Get a quote from brokers for total shipped to your door. It should cost less than $100 shipped to your door. I just got a quote for $75 shipped but that doesn't include international shipping I think.

are you using obook?

i went on their site. it' pretty inconsistent. i am tempted to say sketchy, but it seems a lot of people on different forums have gone through with it successfully.

the other broker's site was easier to use, however. i might go with them if obook comes up with some rdiculous offer as well.

btw, what is a good shipping option to use. i don't want to wait aroudn a month to get this bad boy. i heard dhl is freakishly fast, but airmail is slow like torture.

also, the choc mini you ordered is the updated version? i heard all of the ones post january are updated, which solves the keycap print discrepancy and visibility. i want the updated one. looks really nice with golden print. i think it's the sexiest keyboard out there.

I never actually went through with the order. The $75 shipped was total quote NOT including international shipping to the US which I'd figure is another $15~20 max.
