The Realforce is on its final leg of this tour, to chzel in Greece. And I'm already missing it :D

Thanks again to 002 for the opportunity to try it!

Got it today!
:D :D :D :D :D
First impressions:
Great build quality, hefty board, nice sound (thock-thock-thock) beautiful caps (the Backspace legend is a bit too high up for my liking), sharp bottom row edges, the spacebar stabilizer is a bit noisy and variable weight is confusing as fuck!
More to come after a bit of use!

Thank you 002 for this tour!

This sounds like a great opportunity.. Living in Netherland i could send it with track&trace insured for up to €500.
To the UK or Germany would cost around €22..

i'm considering the Topre RealForce 87U (MD has a drop running for one with extra PBT spacebar)
And considering the Leopold FC660C from ebay...

Anny ideas / opinion guys ?? i rather like the smaller footprint of the Leopold i have the FC660M with mx-clears as my daily driver..

Here are the links of both boards i'm considering..

RealForce;

Thanks 002 for the Realforce Tour!
I enjoyed being a part of it.
Thanks for the read.. i enjoyed your views on the board..
At the moment i'm typing on my FC660M with mx-clears and my fingers do get a bit tired.
i briefly tried the NovaTouch (like a second ) and did not really like it ..but to be truthful standing in a store and trying it is not trying it at all.

I have a brand new KUL ES-87 with mx-clears that i used for 2weeks and i'm going to sell it because i don't really like it..
Put it on reddit but it's not selling for the moment...

I noticed that having a small footprint does help with the sound that resonates from your keyboard..
The RealForce S type sounds like a great option..But alas MD doesn't sell it..so where the heck are we supposed to get one living in the EU ??

I have a bit of RSI typing all day so that's the reason i'm looking at a Topre board..
What i do like about the MX-Clears is the tactile feel :) sweet...but i wish they were a bit lighter..

Also i do like the idea of a programable keyboard like the WhiteFox..Or the upcoming K-type..

I sum times fantasise about a Silent RealForce 87U with cherry MX compatible stems and a programable teensy inside being able to use the OpenSource Software from the guys @ inputClub..

Having just one keyboard seems that kan do everything seems like a fantasy that's not going to happen any day soon...
Can you imagine a kickstart project doing this..haahahah.. :D
I would just grab two without thinking the hell with it..

Perhaps someone else wants to delve inside and uncover the secret analog sauce that powers the thing.
i got a set from Aldi ..And you can even try Action i don't know where you live..??
But you could also try AliExpres..

Here you go ..25 set for $5 with free shipping..

It has been a while...I wonder if we could get enough interest to run another EU tour :)

That was the last tour. This tour is already finished, I have tested it and sent it to the next person in line.

Oh, I would love to participate.
The contrary topre reviews ("cannot use anything else anymore" / "just a better rubberdome") make me want to try them really badly. :D

I would also join instantly. Always wanted to know what the topre hype is all about.

Since I got to try an HHKB for a few minutes last week I'm now more keen than ever to try out a Realforce. Very interested for a new round.

I actually selfishly asked chzel to send the 104 back to me in AU because I was going to loan it to a guy at work who is having trouble with wrist fatigue. When I get my tax return I'll see about getting a replacement board that can stay and tour indefinitely in Europe. What do you guys think: Would a variable force keyboard still be the most appropriate tour board or maybe a uniform keyboard this time?

55g Topre would definitely be interesting. There's so much hype for them.

Definitely lots of love for 55g in the community -- I think it would be a good board to try out for people who like buckling springs or other heavier switches.

Touring HHKB ftw!!! :D

There's so much hype about this keyboard and it's layout and it's too expensive (and hard to get) for most to just order one and give it a try.

HHKB would be cheaper to ship around I'd imagine :)
Might have to get a poll going!

HHKB tour would be a really cool idea, I'm sure it will be really popular.

55g RF TKL gets my vote.

Agree with Zombimuncha last time i saw a 55G TKL 78U was during a keyboard meetup..
Alas i did not have the time to carefully type on it to determine if i would like it.
i do appreciate you advice a while back on getting a lighter topre..
And i’m happy with my FC660C...but ik keep thinking one day..i’l gamble and get a 55g..
Or perhaps a 50g ??but i don’t think that exists and if the difference between 45g and 50g would be noticeable ?

First things first. Sadly, before today, I had NEVER heard of this wonderful forum, so I normally wouldn't reach the minimum post requirement :(
I'm 14, and would LOVE to get into mechanical keyboards, so I created an account 3 minutes ago, just to be able to write this post. (And possibly many more to come).

I realize this post is from last year, but if this legend would ever pass through Belgium, I would be most delighted to try it out for a week. Whatever it takes, please, PM me.

Thanks in advance,
KNO56

15 posts isn't really a high requirement, why don't you participate a little in the community instead of asking for a 200€ keyboard in your first post?

Maybe create an introduction post in the new member thread and post something helpful in some other threads?

Trying to be helpful here, just imagine I was asking you to send me a 200€ item ... let me know if you would and I'll pm my address.

Right, 15 posts is nothing, seriously if this were my tour I'd raise that to 150. RF is a very expensive item (regardless if it's overpriced or not).
