It looks like a high quality mouse.
I would buy one for sure. But can't find how to do it.

Especially since milling wood is dirt cheap. It is very fast, doesn't wear the mill bit at all and the machine itself doesn't require nearly as fine tolerances.

@damorgue: It's red wood, and it's far from being cheap.
This doesn't explain so far the price of the mouse, it's red wood, not silver.

It looks seriously well-engineered.
I think that there would also be a few manual steps involved in the manufacturing.
You can't just mill wood like a piece of plastic or metal. Each piece has to be selected and oriented. The pieces are also held together with grommets.

Short version: this guy has had to overcome some very serious hurdles in manufacturing. There's good reason why mice are made of plastic, not wood. Wood has non-uniform structure, it warps, splinters, and chips during milling; it's very difficult to make it both robust and flexible (for the buttons) - very easy with plastic; moisture from the user's hands is also a serious problem and requires the elaborate process of sealing the wood's pores - again a non-problem with plastic. So, if you have to have your mouse made out of wood, there's the hefty price to pay.
