The Warmouse Meta looks absolutely retarded. I'd like to try it, though, just to prove my prejudice wrong.

Not sure if I understand fully what they are testing, but it seems to be how many clicks per second you can do. I searched their mouse and it has like 40 buttons on it. This might be something important with a lot of keys, but for a standard 5-7 button mouse, I don't think you'll really need that.

Though on a more relevant note, here is a graph of mouse button latencies:

90% of those are using the same switch. A Omron.

I think it's testing how tired the lab rat was getting.

Actually this is testing how fast there is a response from clicking a button to showing up on screen. In this case, the switch used is irrelevant, since they are all mechanical, and have very small travel. The human aspect was taken out.

No one in the "e-sports" communities install mouse drivers anyway. SetPoint is actually know to lower the performance of the MX518 iirc. It should be somewhere on that Japanese wiki that IanM posted. Too bad you need it to change the led color on your mouse.

At least Setpoint is only 25MB after you choose the right version, and Razer is similar at around 33MB. I have the Alienware version of the G9x and Dell make you download a preposterously portly 375MB ! Stupid Dell.

It is kind of cool, but I can't even maximise my more conventional mouse so I guess it's not for me. Someone should make a neural interface! Good idea!

I have owned two ikari laser over the past 3,5 years and when it didnt doubleclick by its initiative it was great, maybe even clicking TOO fast.
