I see I'm going to have to start a collection of Pures now. ;-) I already want the LE with the silver case and now those blue LEDs look really good. Do you have any information on what switches will be available with the silver LE with green LEDs?

Thanks! :)
Hi Megnin,

Yep, but I do not think anyone would disagree that you already have quite a collection of keyboards.
I guess a few PUREs would not hurt tho
It is available with all four switches, so if you want one just let me know :)

Hi Lin,

My boss tells me that I need "professional help". ;-)

So, here are the keyboards on my "I can't live without these keyboards" list:

1. HHKB Pro 2 Type-S
2. Pure LE, Silver aluminum case, Green LEDs, Brown switches
3. Pure, ABS case, Blue LEDs, Red switches

If I have to wait until next month to get one of the Pures, which one do you think I should get first, based on availability, scarceness or maybe new models coming out?

I would only need one Pure if it came with: Silver aluminum case, Blue LEDs, Brown switches and PBT keycaps. ;-)

I'm disappointed that the ones with LEDs don't have PBT caps. Does that include the LE? I don't really want to get a non-LED version just for the PBT caps.

Hi Megnin, :)

So when he mentioned "professional help" you thought of me? I am flattered! ;)

1. found exactly 1 in stock on Taobao, so I guess this one would be the most urgent.
2. will be available by the end of this month
3. is available right now

I am sorry to say it, but the LE, or actually all with leds are ABS.

LOL. Well... naturally. ;)

Your information makes it pretty easy to decide. #1 is almost the same price as EliteKeyboards minus $5.00 USD. #2 The end of the month is great. It will give my wallet a little break. #3 I don't think the ABS version is going to be in short supply so there's no rush.

Please put me down for a pre-order for the Silver one with Brown switches. I'd rather have blue LEDs but if green is all that's available that will be fine. Thank you very much for all of your help, Lin. You are very much appreciated!

I have heard the next batch might be blue ones, so if you like to, you could also wait a month and take the Blue instead. :)

Hi Lin,

I was just browsing Taobao.com and making a list of new keyboards I want.

A couple of years ago I was looking for this Filco Italian Red and could not find one. I didn't know about Taobao.com then though.
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a21 ... 1029.0.1.1

I've since become more interested in Tenkeyless keyboards, but there didn't seem to be a Tenkeyless version of the Italian Red case. ...until now.
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a21 ... 1029.0.1.1

It's a bit expensive, so I won't be able to get it right away. Maybe in a month or two.

beyone_thegame seems to have a large selection of the KBT Pure. There are three different price points.
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a21 ... 1029.0.1.1
$202.00 USD - Limited - 限量金属紫光茶轴
$101.00 USD - Standard - 标准普通紫光茶轴
$86.00 - No LED / PBT - PBT无LED灯 茶轴
He doesn't show any listing of the Silver case though.

This is the only one that I saw that listed the Silver case limited:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a21 ... 1029.0.1.1

I also found a Cherry G80-3494 Ferrari Red Limited Edition:
http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a2 ... 1029.0.1.1
and a Cherry G80-3000 Ferrari Red Limited Edition:
http://item.tmall.com/item.htm?id=10026511532

I'm not sure what the difference is between the G80-3494 and the G80-3000 so I'm not sure which one I'm going to want yet.

I'm listing these here as much for my own future reference as anything else.

After the Ducky Year of the Dragon (pre-ordered) and the Pure with silver case (waiting for blue leds) come in, I'll start talking to you about these others.

Cheers!

I have mentioned before that KBT PURE with a SIlver case will be available, but now the manufacturer has changed their mind and it will be a Black case instead. Just so you know.

Just a question about the Pure. When it was announced, what was shown had purple leds, did that ever get produced or was that just a prototype? Was really looking forward to that.

If you are talking about the KBT PURE LE, the first batch is green lights,
I can not say for sure at this point, but my guess is it will come later. Maybe in a month or two.

How would one go about building a keyboard using the MKC case?
Cannibalize a Filco?

that would be my guess, but you might want to have lin communicate directly with mkc to make sure

Sorry Lin,

I have no idea as to whether or not you are able to get this keyboard, here's the link;

http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=14808412568

It's the NEO 87 Zelia, please translate the info so that I know what Cherry MX switch they come in and also how long would it take to get one in.

It looks like wireless which is what I'm looking for now, but it also has a minute usb connection slot. Hence it could also be connected via a normal cable as well.

Please let me know if we can do business. Thanks.

Oh, Elrick, I have a NEO 87 Zelia. I like it a lot. Wireless and wired. It also has the LEDs at the top of the switch instead of at the bottom like a lot of keyboard which is good for me because I have some keycaps with clear "eyes" and top LEDs show through better.

Mine was MX Blacks, but I put Reds stems and springs in it, but just on the keys your two little fingers hit. "Variable" weighted. ;-)

Oh brilliant........I take it that it ONLY comes in Cherry Black MX switches then? :?:

PLEASE let me know if it comes with other switches........ Although I can get use to using Blacks. Meaning I gotta need to exercise my fingers.

Good news someone else has it here on this forum. I just love the look of it, it's so SPECIAL looking. ;)

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 4871501521
those were all out, and he was the cheapest by quite a margin. Could you ask the seller if there will be more? There are also these sellers, ranging from cheap to expensive:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 3920712764
http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a2 ... id=&pm_id=
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 3254758018
Could you ask them if they could sell them for less, haggle, and perhaps mention the cheaper listing?

Also, is the price for the KMC case set in stone?
