Please suggest nominees for the Best other (non-keyboard) human interface device in 2012. You have to give a short motivation for each suggestion. It is not a requirement that the device was released in 2012. If you think a vintage device was the best, you can suggest it.

Current suggestions (this list is frequently updated):

The whole Wacom line of products
Rollermouse family
TrackPoint IV
CST ltrack-x
Razer DeathAdder Black Edition
Madcatz R.A.T. 7
Logitech Z506 output device
Kensington Orbit
Microsoft Xbox360 Controller Limited Edition in silver

TrackPoint IV. Still the best version of the TrackPoint, 15 years later.

Do you want a separate nomination of the rollermouse free, or is the rollermouse family ok? Both might water down votes.

Yeah keep them together, we need more recognition for it.

Razer DeathAdder Black Edition

I upgraded to this from my Logitech g9x earlier this year and it has been one of the most amazing switches I've made, both ergonomically and precision wise. I realized I'm more of a claw grip user and it's really improved some performance for me.

hum, maybe I should look into the deathadder black edition. I am using g9x now. But I really want a wireless mouse.

Madcatz R.A.T. 7, hands down the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. Once I figured out all the right adjustments, going back to my razer felt so uncomfortable. Also the pinky rest is pure genius.

This. The R.A.T. 7 is great for people of all hand shapes and sizes.

That's not an input device, that's an output device.

Maybe the Kensington Orbit with scroll ring? A fine trackball everybody can afford!

No Gaming Pad so far?
Microsoft Xbox360 Controller Limited Edition in silver.

Smooth surface but somehow still grippy, better analog sticks than reguler 360 Controller, changeable digital pad, wireless, appealing colours (at least to me), works great with windows (duh!?), all the new games support it, rechargable battery and wireless(if you have an wireless USB adapter)
