This week we look at a MONSTER of a keyboard, the Deko Fast Action. Hope you enjoy the video! :)

With all those buttons with lock lights, this is exactly the kind of keyboard that (once adapted and stuff) could be naturally used as a multilayout keyboard — press one of the keys above and switch among, say, US English, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Iberoamerican, Greek, Russian, a custom typographical symbols layout, a custom math symbols layout, etcetera. That screen should definitely be put to use as a help screen. :-D

That said, what is the profile on the bottom row? Could the arrow keys be shifted down with ease and the keys that are now left, up and right be put to use with something else?

hmm could be possible to convert assuming the traces are accessible possible through that ribbon cable going onto the main controller board would need a controller with a very large number of pins if the LEDS are to be individually addressable and wpuld probably just replace the screen with an OLED one and it could then actually be used although would take a lot of work mapping the matrix, finding a controller with enough pins and then eventually programming it but it could still be done.

SCHWEET Geezus, this looks like an inbuilt keyboard from a Boeing 747 series ;) .

Kind of scares me because I know this thing is even a little too big for my current desk and Monitor. Truly insane but hey when you go BIG in the Cherry World then go Aircraft carrier size all the way.

As always Chyros, another 'excellent' video, showing us mortals what we've missed out on in 2018 and beyond.

Not quite ;) most MCDUs have alphabetical, ortholinear layouts with short travel tactile switches of some kind, backlit too.

Then look at what they've done for the A380...
Spoiler:

The position of the bottom alpha row is cringe worthy...
