Got my Retro today after the agonizing wait. I tried taking some pictures, but these white and blue keys do not photograph well. They just look blank with my crappy camera. IRL, you can see them though....just don't lean too far back. The keys have a great feel to them. I wish they were slightly more readable, but the keys give the board such an amazing look. It has the same charm of the black on black Topres where the letters are barely visible. They will certainly help with my touch typing! TY 7biy!

Your key caps look really great!
:-)

Almost like Round 4 RETRO style, but more contrasty.

Where did you get them from?
:o

You must have modified your images a lot to make the blue look dark in those pictures. It looks nowhere as dark in real life.

Nice keyboard BTW.

Now I'm confused, was the more contrasty one doctored? Trying to distract myself... these last few days of waiting for my keys seem like an eternity.

No, it is the other way round. He decreased the contrast in order to make them look similarly contrastless compared to those many pictures where in-camera noise reduction of crappy cameras killed the legends.

The last set of pictures are the most accurate. I'm afraid.

My keycaps are invisible. Because I haven't received them yet. :(

What they look like compared to other retro sets:

The ones on the far left are from this GB, what was the color code you used for this round?

That is clearly not BFQ (light blue) as mentioned in the Round 4 Retro Wiki. Sounds like someone went ahead with another shade of blue without informing 7bit.

Must be BFQ. At least that is what I ordered.

That is what I think, not 7bits fault but still a fook up. Its a pity because I was so looking forward to them. I cant use them on a day to day basis so I am using the QWERTY set from a Cherry MX in white which works well.

The way I see it, is it makes me learn to touch type without thinking about it :)

But yeah, a shame.

Received the package from Germany today, yay! Now it's sorting time!
First thing to say, thanks 7bit.
And second thing, the label outside the plastic bag doesn't list correctly the things inside -_________-

I got my keycaps a couple of days ago. They're absolutely great!
Thanks for organizing this huge groupbuy, 7bit!

You really need to look at your caps that closely to type effectively? I can see mine just fine. It's certainly not a "fook up" as you call it. I think they look and feel fantastic.

No problem, everything's fine. I think every key is here also, no key is missing. But if there's any I will contact asap...

Some photos of the keys from Round 4 mix with my current keys

I can't really see the blue legends on alphabet part of the Retro set in real >"< but it looks good on grey modifiers though...
I also like the Blue and Red color of the spacebar of Retro set... And the SPH spaces are so amazing, can't wait for more completed SA sets in the future...

Woo, they finally arrived.

As for the legibility of the Retro set... I'm thankful I got the dark grey alpha. I'll photo them a bit later.

Edit:

Anyone who is thinking about getting in on whatever the next SPH group buy is.... DO IT. They make any kind of keyboard you put them on better. They are especially good on MX browns, but they improve blues as well. They sound and feel excellent.

A quick question for those who have received caps, how long did you wait from the time they shipped? I haven't received mine yet, more than 2 months since they were supposed to have shipped. Thanks if you can let me know.

I also haven't heard anything from 7bit despite leaving a number of PMs and posts here. 7bit, I'd appreciate if you could reply when you have time.

Nice pictures.

I think you are using the wrong caps for page up and dpwn. The "up" and "down" keys are to be used insted of the arrows, whereas the correct ones are labeled "Page Up" and "Page Down"

The pictures didn't come through, I take it you are talking about the RETRO / GRAY keyset?
