Forget the color, forget the grey keys. Look at the blue keys and let me know:

I will always prefer the non-abbreviated versions and the always abbreviated one would stop me entirely from getting one.
I don't want a shift key that reminds me of shit every time I look at it...

Is there a cost benefit to sticking with the same size?

What would be an extremely rough estimate (perhaps in years) for when 1) the buy opens and 2) the buy ships?

Except that the text legends must be remade, no.

Legend costs are minor compared to production costs for the keys.

About your 2nd question, just look at Round 4, 5 and 6 to see how slow the whole thing will be.
:?

At least: Not before end of 2017.

Here are the dates:

R5 2013-10 to 2015-07 (22 months)
R6 2014-09 to 2016-1? (25? months)
R7 2016-1? to 2017??? (2?? months)

Voting for the non-abbreviated legends. The abbreviated ones look silly to me.

Any chance of actual photos? Or have the larger fonts never been made?

Also, I love the Hyper7 and am going to try building one, but long term would it be possible to update the symbols so that they could be used either for APL (a very similar symbol set) or even better math in general (perhaps removing the strange T symbols and replacing them with capital Sigma, capital Pi, a radical, etc? I don't know if there is a widespread interest in such a project per se, but it could remain an homage to the Symbolics keyboard while just replacing some symbols which today are largely useless. I for one would use it for writing proofs in LaTeX, but that is probably not a common use case.

Are Hyper7-like keys planned/being considered for Round 7 at all?

19 against 12 votes, The new larger legends seem to win over the smaller old ones.

Always spell everything in full! I don't think I have ever seen an "ESCAPE" key before... but I want one!!

Also, ALT should be ALTERNATE :P

I like the original size, was there a lot of demand for larger legends?

"TAB" should probably be "TABULATOR" and "PRINT" -> "PRINT SCREEN" on the larger legends.

The "TAB" will be a symbol anyway!
