I have a hunch your hunch is correct.

As soon as I hear from him, this thread will be the first to know.
Any news?

So is 7bit still gone? Was thinking of ordering some leftover sets from old Rounds, but... I guess not. Seems like this should be a big deal no?

If I ever get around to selling my Round 5 spares, I'll let you guys know. I've too much. Well, given my increased emphasis on IBM and Topre keyboards over the years.

I will happily buy any red caps from you :)

You don't happen to have any black Function keys do you?

I'm finally moving on from my 60% to a 75% and I'd love to use my R5 caps - sadly I didn't order function keys all those years ago.

Good question! I probably did, because I got really obsessive in the original design phase. But someone's offered to buy my complete order, so I need to dig it all out and run inventory anyway…

Should you have a blue return key, I’m willing to pay well for it.

If you could spare those function keys, I'd be eternally grateful. Name your price! If the offer to buy the rest of your order depends on the function kit being included then no worries of course.

I'm going to run an inventory soon and can get back to you, and my buyer if indeed those caps show up. No promises! But it's possible. ;)

As for the blue Return, I also have a Round 4 SPH set. Would a not-quite-right 2.0 unit row 3 blue ANSI Return do the trick? That's what we made do with back then.

Hi @Muirium.

What do you mean by not quite right? Just the spherical thing or something more?
It’s indeed row 3 ANSI I need.
I have one but with a little flaw, the double-shot injection comes through in other parts than just the letters.

0.25 units too short. These were made before 7bit commissioned the 2.25u molds. So there's a small, 0.125u gap on either side of the key.

Thanks for the info.
I'll pass on this one though as I have the right one with the flaw and a few other substitutes.
None of them really right though.

I have been asking around to see if anyone has been able to contact 7bit, and nobody has spoken to him recently.

Today I emailed Signature Plastics, who were unable to share the contact details for who managed Round 6 (understandable). However, more interestingly, they said they hadn't heard of Round 7. Was it even in production?

Unless someone can correct me, Round 7 never closed. Thanks for phoning Signature Plastics.

Hi @Muirium,
Do you have HONEYB/ALPHA/BLUE kit? Or any kits that include blue alpha 7bit e.g TKL or Tenkeyless kits ( https://imgur.com/a/XoiUoAh). If so and you want to sell, I'm interesting in buying them.

Thank you.

Never got in on one of 7bit's group buys... was hoping there would be another round. Sad to see so many of the OG GB leaders, artisan makers, and leaders fall away.

7bit.info seems to have expired.
I'm feeling pretty scammed right now.

How much money had you handed over?

It's a shame he just disappeared, no one ran a groupbuy quite like 7bit. Maybe they passed away or something? Seems hard to imagine that someone that dedicated just lost interest or even less likely it was a scam.

Too much. Though I've long since accepted that it is just gone, I still want those caps.
