Geez, hope not.

I've been waiting for a built keyboard using this new switch, doubt I can keep on waiting for something that is fast becoming like Unicorn Tears.

Please OP see this through, I bought this earlier on so I don't care what the final price will be, not my concern. Not looking for double the amount of key switches here either.

Just want these Hua-Jie Alps clones, installed into my future Dell as soon as possible. No matter the final price.

I'm not "penalizing" anyone. Everyone will get the amount of switches they agreed to at the price they agreed to. I'm just trying to get more participants since there is less than a week remaining in this GB.

However, since I don't want any hard feelings, I'd be willing to give people who already ordered 100 free. Just PM me and I'll make a note to ship you 100 more.

Yes! Hua-Jie hasn't got back to me yet, hopefully they are just backordered from CNY and not ignoring me for cancelling my order last time.

You should of used another identity, when placing an order.

Cuts through all the problems you might of accidentally created for yourself......last time ;) .

Their main office opens in a few hours, hopefully they get back to me by tomorrow. Time gaps are annoying!

Update-Hua-Jie has received my payment and started production on the switches. They will be shipped by April 23 and you will likely get them mid-May.

15 more days to go! (this is a relatively small order for them so it is rather low priority)

Thanks.

Sorry, UPS just gave me the tracking numbers on a receipt with no indication of who's who.
Next time I'll print the labels out online.

Just got mine!

Have yet to do anything with them besides test a few loose ones with my finger. Very sharp tactility. Kinda scratchy on the way down, but after a while seemed to get better. Could be placebo. Placed a longish keycap on one. Tried to make it bind. It binds a bit, even new. But, we will have to see how they do when I put them in a board.

Yes, I noticed that too. I'm guessing it's because the tooling for these switches is rather old. For large unstabilized keys I found WD-40 Specialist dry lubricant works well on these.

Does anyone know what materials the original Alps sliders and lubricant are? Perhaps I can ask Hua-Jie for a smoother slider next round.

Has anyone else received their switches yet? I'd like to get everone's feedback on them and work out improvements/suggestions.

I understand that this might not be what you are looking for, because I didn't buy any, but I would say that the main improvement any alps clone could make would be to add slits to reduce the rattling and top out noise.

Thanks for the tip.

If there is going to be another round there needs to be more interest. I ended up losing a lot of money getting this through (not upset, I love Alps, but it's just not viable at the moment)

I have a feeling that this is probably going to the the only round of this type. That's okay though, we still got this one through. Sorry to hear it ended up costing you so much. I think that any attempt like this in the future may need a different supplier, and maybe to actually try to replicate the feeling and switchplate of complicated alps better.

These things having short press lifetimes doesn't really help, either.
