Hi All,

I would like introduce myself formally the owner of https://vintkeys.ca. I have been in the keyboard scene since early 2016 and in the vintage scene since 2017.

I recently got in touch with a seller that has a warehouse full of NOS SKCL Green Alps. These switches originally and still are in plates and will have to be desoldered.

Due to the current state of the keyboards it will take some time to desolder them all as VintKeys is a single person operation. I would like to get them as cheap as possible as the owner of the warehouse is asking some high prices initially. I have been able to negotiate down to $2 USD per switch + shipping.

Note: This is including the amount of time that it will take to desolder all the switches from the boards.

If you are interested in please fill out the form: https://forms.gle/3PD8CWVdSyjw3vix5

Update
The Vendor didn't hold up their end of the deal completely. I have been able to acquire some NIB modules but way less than initially stated by the vendor.

Therefore, the price has also increased do to the decrease in volume purchased.

The new price is 2.5 per switch or $180 USD + shipping. Most people wanted a full module rather than desoldered. Therefore, this will be the main option. If you want you switches desoldered then I will make that an option as well.

Below is a photo of the module. Note that the spacebar switch is SKCL Cream.

Keycaps are included with either option.

Update 2
Final update before the modules go up. They will be available on Saturday 19, 2020 at 1PM EST over at https://vintkeys.ca

Thanks,
TheInverseKey

Are these in keyboards or plate assemblies? What do they look like may I ask?

Would it be more economical to sell them by the board instead of desoldering them yourself? Might ease the burden a bit.

Shipping would be increase by a bit for sure due to the size and weight.

Wasn’t sure how many keys to put for the full module, listed 68. Thanks.

Thanks for the update! When can we expect desoldered switches to be available for purchase?

Do we get the keycaps as well for 180? How do we secure an order and when can we expect them?

Cool find! I'm definitely interested and concur with the sentiment of just getting the whole module -- desoldering is part of the fun. :)

Brought out the pingmaster today. So smooth but excited to possibly get a more modern board together with the skcl greens. Does anyone know of a decent TKL alps compatible pcb?

The Hineybush H87A is a popular option - Think it's out of stock at the moment
