I don't know what went wrong. I know from time to time they can do these Return keys right, without such "scratch". In fact it is no scratch, it happens when the plastic floods the tool and cools down too quick.

Hm. Did the thing when the first post about the PGP encryption popped up. Just went with my real name and the default keysize, since there were no instructions to do otherwise at that point. Sent a PM, but all I got for my troubles was an empty invoice from the bot.

Then once I saw that second post with additional instructions, I tried sending another key generated using my DT username and a subkey-length of 4096. But the bot now only sends me empty invoices, even when I send a simple WAZZUP. Maybe I killed it. Or maybe all that advanced hacking just killed my order, that would indeed be hilarious. :o :shock: :lol:

Well, the first attempt had an expiration date of a year from now. It even says so in the error message you quoted to me in a PM:

The first attempt probably failed because it was set to the default 2048 length. Either that, or the fact that it didn't contain my DT user-name. The second attempt, the one using the proper 4096 length, did indeed in hindsight have an expire-date set to zero – because that's what it said in the instructions someone posted:

If I make another key with my user name, proper length, a more reasonable expire-date, and send that to the bot through PM – will that fix things?

EDIT: Wait, '0' means that the key never expires – right? Then it's even more of a mystery.

7bit, can you please explain why I'm missing 800 keys from my order? Many others are also missing large portions of their keys. I'm sure that encryption is going to be useful, but with respect, I'm concerned that you seem to be ignoring this other issue.

My understanding is that the procedure is the same as if a key is missing, i.e. following the instructions in the invoice. At least that's what the example provided hints at – an upside-down legend hardly constitutes a missing key, rather the equivalent of a damaged one.

seems 7bit ship about maximum 400 keys in one package, so just wait another month or months, you will get another package :(

7bit, I wonder what happened to my order 1289. Yiu told me you’d ship it the day agter but that was 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I got an update just now but again with no shipping info.
R/5 and 6 are fully paid, shiptracked, shipnow done but still no shipping.

Or should I delete the round 7 part of the order before it can ship?

Mine were shipped 69 days ago, over 2 months. Considering the recent history of the Brazilian Postal service, I count that as unexpectedly fast.

Pleasant surprise last week. I've got most of my caps. The only problem I found was 3 sets not as described on my invoice. There must have been some misunderstanding - I got the wrong sets:
1) HONEYB/LOTUS/BLUE the blue R1 1u lotus keycap was missing instead, I got blue on black R3 1.25u modifiers;
2) HONEY/F13TOF24 grey set was missing. I received the white F1 to F12 caps;
3) HONEYG/MODEXTRA100A/GREY set was missing instead, I got HONEYG/MODSYM100A/GREY set.
Do I have to post the wrong sets back and ask for what I ordered? I'm not sure how to proceed.

Just paid for my order of R5 and R6 leftovers. Gorgeous red key caps. I can't wait for them to arrive.

I just need two red 1.25 control key caps to reappear, but the current plan is to just use the grey that comes with the SA Oblivion I have coming soon.

Okay, all these GPG shenanigans aside it would be nice to get an update on the incomplete orders. Lots of people seem to be missing parts of their orders, and this issue is yet to be properly adressed as far as I know.

That's roughly €100 worth of caps (or about 1/5 of my total R5/6 order). I paid for the last addition to my order 2018-03-13. My order was then appaprently split into two, adding an additional $7 for shipping. Not that I asked for that, mind you, but I paid that as well back in april.

Now, this is just guesswork. But as far as I can tell my order ought to be one of the two that couldn't be sent out due to missing keys:

That was a month ago. So what's the deal here? If the order can't be completed, it would be nice to know which parts of it are missing and what my options are. Others are probably in the same boat.

After 2 years of waiting, receiving partial orders, a final shipment made 2½ months ago, a slow postal service, a fake delivery notice, and a national truck drivers' strike, finally the keycaps were delivered.

While I were in London on my vacation. :lol:

Just returned home and double checked everything, AFAIK everything I've ordered is here. Couldn't be happier, but that surely was a wild ride.

I guess that's what I get for making a fuss… :oops: My keys arrived today, and everything seems to be in order. I also have a white tab key now, so that's great.

Now, it would have been nice to actually hear about the keys being posted, but beggars can't be choosers I guess. I would however like to point out that updates on shipping etc. were more reliable during the Round 5 days as far as I recall. Maybe some script powered solution could be implemented to improve things? ;)
