The newer logos above look ok, the old Win 3.1 style not so much ;-)

I kinda want the old weirdo fake Win 3.11 design, it's silly and fun. I also used Win 3.11 for years. I certainly don't want the XP logo, since I run Windows 8.

What I don't get about the menu key symbol is that nobody ever, EVER looks at the actual arrow cursor to see what shape it is. The left-hand side of the arrow is vertical with respect to the display!!! Even Filco stuffed that up. At least Tai-Hao's looks more like a menu than the weird thing Filco try to pass off as a context menu.

I agree with this! I'd rather have a very outdated (and therefore with some amount of novelty) logo than one that's just slightly old, it's less boring in my opinion.

i thought thats just a fake window logo?

btw taihao said they can provide 1x |\ and do not need extra in substituting with the blank key we are having now

still waiting for their confirmation on whether our other than doesnt meet their MOQ will be accepted or not

Great news on the |\ key.

Can I still place an order for this by the end of today please?

Also do they have a mould for an iso enter key with a top of 1.25 units and a base of one unit and not a base of what appears to be stardard iso enter ( 1.25 unit). I am using a tipro staggered board so this would really work out for me then I could also put the

/ key just to the left of it.

Just go ahead and submit an order -- my bet is that TaiHao won't let us go into production for Granite or Olivette without hitting MOQ, and we'll extend the deadline by another month. GhostofHarry mentioned that a similar GB on GeekHack took six months to hit MOQ, and we've only been at it for two months now.
jond_keyhack wrote: Also do they have a mould for an iso enter key?
Check the original post, there's an ISO enter key available in the Add-On pack, although none of the Add-On packs have yet met MOQ. The Dolch Add-On pack is the closest, with just under 70% of MOQ met. In summation:
Keycap Set Number of Orders Minimum Order Quantity % MOQ Met
Dolch Base Set 335 300 ~111.67%
Granite Base Set 214 300 ~71.33%
Olivette Base Set 183 300 61.00%
Dolch Add-On Set 209 300 ~69.67%
Granite Add-On Set 112 300 ~37.33%
Olivette Add-On Set 100 300 ~33.33%

Add-ons have an artificial MOQ of 100 through price tiers, see original post:
« Price In Tier (Each colour has their own price tier!):
Tier 1 : When order reaches 100 : $13.5
Tier 2 : When order reaches 150 : $9
Tier 3 : When order reaches 200 : $6.8
Tier 4 : When order reaches 250 : $5.4
Tier Ultimate : When order reaches 300 : $4.5 »

100 * $13.5 = 300 * $4.5 so 300 add-ons packs will always be ordered, but people agreed to pay more if less than 300 add-ons are ordered, which allows to set the MOQ at 100.

:) Yeah, I wasn't totally sure what to make of that, seeing how the title for that subsection reads "Add-On Pack | MOQ of each colour: 300". Decided to play it safe and say the MOQ was 300.

Very good news on the |\ key.

With regards to the Win keys, I prefer the green design. However, as I detest all Win keys, I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Now
All the orders will be proceeded as taihao accepted to lower all the MOQ to 100

but the price of add-on set will be raised to $6
and the 2 1.25x window key will be removed as we now have better looking window key now

also, not only \|, ~# is now also included rather than a blank key

invoice will be sent soon via email!

thx for everybody's support!

Final Order Confirmation
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Please check your order information (and also the total sum needed to be paid) before I start sending out invoices.

The total sum is calculated this way:
ANSI = No. of ANSI ordered * $15
ANSI SHIPPING = $5 for the first ANSI, $3 each for the rest
ADDON = No. of Add-ons ordered * $6
ADDON SHIPPING = No. of Add-ons * 1.5
TRACKING = $3 if Yes, $0 if No
SUBTOTAL = ANSI + ANSI SHIPPING + ADDON + ADDON SHIPPING + TRACKING
TOTAL SUM WITH PAYPAL FEE ADDED = SUBTOTAL * 104.4% + $0.3

If your row has been highlighted GREEN
I have changed your order information according to your PM.
As there are too many PMs, I might have missed some messages,
or have misunderstood some messages, or have forgotten to change your order.
Please PM me again if there's any problem.

If your row has been highlighted RED
There's something missing or wrong in your order. This happens because one of the following reasons:
1. your address is not detailed enough for international shipment (according to my local postoffice's standard).
normally, it's because you didn't include your country.
2. you have submitted an empty form (i.e. you have ordered nothing)
3. your forum ID is wrong

Please PM me your amended personal information or amended order information.

I have deleted the rows of those who have dropped out. If you still find yourself in the list, please let me know too.

I will start sending out invoices soon and that will be another (and the last) chance for you guys to confirm the personal information.

Glad that finally we can proceed to the next stage of the buy!
Thx for everyone's support

If you are confused with the 2 invoices sent,
it is caused by the miscalculation of mine to have put the 4.4% in the wrong place...

the following are the instruction if you dont know what to do now

For those who have already paid:
as there are only a really small batch of orders that has already paid
i think its ok as thats only a small amount of deficit
i'd rather cover it myself than sending email that may cause me huge workload :'(
so leave it alone everythings fine
no extra works have to be done

For those who have not paid:
please pay according to the second invoice

:? Another heads up for those involved in this group buy who don't frequent Geekhack.

:) GhostofHarry is initiating the second round (colored keysets) and is holding a poll in order to determine which colors will be up for purchase this second time around. You can cast your vote and see the available options here: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=62456.0

GhostOfHarry really should be updating here as well... its kind of annoying that a messenger has to relay his messages.

But either way thank you Iacoizumi for the update!
