I got one from the previous drop and they're actually really nice, I was all ready to pass it off as a cheap piece of crap but it feels really solid and looks really nice to go with it. The only slight issue I have with it is that it is a finger-print magnet; I have rusty fingers and leave marks all over this thing. Oh, and the feet are just stickers which was a little disapointing, especially if you like your keyboards raised (I don't but I know some do) but for the price I paid I'm not too bothered.

edit - Also worth mentioning that I got a £15 vat charge which should be taken into consideration when pricing the thing.

Yeah i got my 60% case from pexons gb for like £50 :) But if anyone is looking for a aluminium 60% case you can get the tex ones over here for a fair price! http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/ind ... _list&c=44

I think this is the layout I will be going for http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/# ... fe50934fe9

But where do I find those 1.5 alt and ctrl?

That highly depends on what keyset you want to use...

Getting a keyboard with the layout and form factor you want is one thing, getting your preferred keyset to fit your keyboard layout is another. Once you get into custom keyboards you'll start to notice how big a problem this really is.

Does this keyset have 1.5 ctrl and alt? http://www.originativeco.com/collection ... ssic-beige

This keyset with the HHKB and Winkeyless addons http://www.originativeco.com/products/dolch-pre-order

Will work with this layout correct? http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/# ... 6cc0624fdd

Yes, it will work. However, original dolch will work too.

P.S. Just wait people sell leftover from this GB, cheaper and better, http://deskthority.net/group-buys-f50/g ... t8084.html

Tinnie - How should we be placing our orders? I replied to this thread with my order, but have not heard anything. If there's another preferred method, let me know.

Thanks!

Could anyone answer the questions I had below? Thanks!
nightcracker wrote: I'll probably go for the MX-mini, but I still have a few questions.

1. What color is the acrylic case that comes with it? Is it transparent or?

2. What is the exact layout of the buttons? I've seen multiple 75% layouts out there, and I don't know which one it is:
- http://www.williamjudd.com/wp-content/u ... 2/09/2.jpg

3. If it's the first layout, does this mean I can just order keycaps from any standard place, like WASDkeyboards?

4. If I get the pcb, case and switches/keycaps, all I need is a USB cable and I'd be ready to go, right?

5. Is a plate recommended for the 75%? Does it change visuals in any way?
1. transparent. :)

2. Green one. 8-)

3. Ugh no. :x

4. Yes. ;)

5. Yes ;)

Thanks for letting me know. If standard keycaps aren't compatible with 75%, where would you suggest me to get them?

maxrunner

I assume standard caps are compatible..

maxrunner, read the whole post above you...(hint: it's Q/A #3)
nightcracker, I guess your best bet would be groupbuys, with the extras they provide.

That's a shame, as I'm looking for custom keycaps. And with the massdrop on a reasonably cheap 60% case I think I'll go for a 60%.

Ive read it... I guess i dont know what standard keycaps are...what kind of caps does a, lets say, a cherry g80-3000 carries?

There is no standard keycaps per se. There is what is often referred to as Filco layout (or modern) which uses 1.25u bottom row modifiers, 6.25u spacebar and a long left shift. This is also what a modern G80-3000 uses although I am not sure on the stem positions on the spacebar and caps lock.
Aftermarket keycap sets and group buys, often uses these sizes as the standard lineup.
