I have this on ebay. Can anyone ascertain the value? As well as rarity? This was from an online auction I bought it from.

You’re just flipping it on eBay. Bidders will determine the value in your auction.

It's worth $2000 at least. Better take the auction down to do what every seller does and get the most money for his item.

I'll assume you're not trolling lmao. Maybe I'm just ignorant but even if this board is fairly rare, I struggle to see where the 2k figure comes from. SKCL greens, even in NOS condition, probably don't even fetch $500. That said it's still a pretty cool find OP :D

I'm trolling. The OP already has the keyboard up on eBay and is asking us for the value pre-flip to make sure he's squeezed us for every last dime when the auction ends. www.ebay.com/itm/154490088215

I think phrasing it as "to make sure he's squeezed us for every last dime" is a bit harsh to describe what OP is doing lol

OP is trying to do what every seller does and get the most money for his item? Idk it feels pointless to load the statement as you did.

The keyboard is already up in an open auction. Bidders will determine the value in his auction.

Him trying to get a ballpark figure of what an item he doesn't know anything about might go for seems like a smart idea, no? It is a bit strange that he put it up before asking for a valuation. But even if he were to take the item down and put it up for more or even if he were to shill bid on it himself, it wouldn't change the fact that if it gets sold, somebody was still willing to pay for it even if that price is inflated.

I definitely agree. That's why he should inflate the price up to $2,000 buy it now or best offer and let the money roll right in.

Keyboard in it self isn't that special the switches could be for someone. I would say 200 dollars since the switches seem clean.

I didn't mean to come off as greedy. I genuinely didn't know. I tried to do some research, and there just isn't alot of information. I was under the impression this model didn't even come with green switches. I'm not a keyboard expert by any stretch. And the reason I'm doing an auction, is because I don't know the value. With how clean it is I almost thought it was a fake.

I bought this, a packard bell vx588 computer, and a magnavox monitor from an estate sale auction.

Have you met Inozenz? He’s selling NIB space invaders at 1 Euro each to the community to which he belongs because he’s a fellow enthusiast who wants to spread the love and share something fun. Many (not all) of the folks from this community sell their wares in the Marketplace at the “brother” price because they appreciate the community as well. Folks trying to get a pound of flesh for a keyboard either get lampooned or make their sales in hush-hush PMs via “silent auction” to avoid getting lampooned.

I could be wrong, but I suspect the problem is that you listed it already, *then* asked what it's worth. What does it matter? It'll sell for what it sells for; that's what it's worth. If you heard somebody say it was worth $500 and it sold at your auction for $5, what good would the information do you? Would you screw your buyer over by cancelling the sale and relist it at a higher price? People do that and it is extremely shitty. Or would you simply be annoyed that you didn't make more money than you could've if you'd approached the sale differently, in which case, why put yourself in that position?

Seller has some negs on items that sold at low prices for either cancelling the order or not shipping/communicating so… probably?

Exactly Inozenz is a fellow enthusiast and is trying to better the community to which he belongs. Most people though don't give a shit about keyboards. If an everyday person finds what to them is nothing more than an old hunk of plastic and then finds out it could be worth a couple hundred bucks, they will obviously try to sell it for the most money possible. It is pointless to lampoon these people. Does it suck for us as enthusiasts? Yeah obviously, but wanting/expecting everyday people to care about the wishes and ethics of keyboard enthusiasts is unrealistic. Even if OP were to take it down and re-list it for 2k, if somebody were to buy it nothing would change except the amount of money OP is getting, which is obviously his sole prerogative in this case. You can call it shitty but the prices are what they are because somebody is willing to pay them.

I vow to not re-list the board if it only sells for 20 bucks haha. I would not want to do that to someone. if you look at my feedback, its for the most part positive. The orders i canceled were things that got lost in my basement, and if you notice i did not relist them. I don't have any use for this board, I already have a corsair k70 i believe with cherry mx speeds. And FWIW, I turned down an offer last night of 135$ for the board. I want it going to the highest bidder.

All very valid points. We don't have to tell folks like this any prices though... just as we don't have to tell the burglar they forgot to check the safe behind the painting as they're walking out the door.

Bhahaha!! I will gladly take that if we're doing DT awards. I'll try again...

When you're haggling at a swap meet you don't have to tell the guy you have $100 in your OTHER pocket after turning your one pocket inside out?

You don't have to tell the mystic knowledge to the uninitiated who are only interested the $?

After someone sells a beamship for $2k you don't have to tell everyone it should have been MUCH higher and hurt others' chance of getting a similar price in the future?

IDK you guys... I'm running low on analogies today.

Damn the amount of hostility for someone just trying to sell his keyboard, clearly this community has been through a lot, too jaded.

Was about to list my near NOS Blue alps, guess I'll just keep it now
