Looking for a replacement SSK bottom shell and barrel plate. Unfortunately my recent SSK got damaged in shipping... the case has a chip and the barrel plate has a crack.

Anyone have either of these bits? Thanks!

I think Unicomp still sells barrel plates for SSKs, you might wanna try your luck there. The case is obviously more difficult.

Is this listed on their site, or do you have to email them?

I think it's this 84-key frame but you can send them a message to be make sure it's the part you want to have: https://www.pckeyboard.com/page/product/CVSET

I’ve got one of those SSK barrel frames, new from Unicomp, which I could let go. If you’re in this part of the world instead of theirs.

That would be really kind of you! You're in Scotland too right?

Yup. Edinburgh.

I’ll look up what I paid for it and charge you that. Was pretty cheap as I recall.

Ah, Edinburgh. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. (...except maybe Detroit)

Well, we do have the unnatural combination of bankers year round and stand up comics during the festival. So you’re not wrong!

The barrel plate is the same a a standard M with the end cut off. You could easily do that.

Since you are doing a bolt mod anyway, you can repair a barrel plate with old-fashioned model cement and the screws will hold it in place.

That case is going to be a lot harder to come by.
