Because you're gonna snap off the original? It's non-detachable. That's the only reason the XT isn't compatible.

Is it possible any chance to replace a defective part? Any controller?
Or is it just only a piece of junk for $ 200?

I don’t know what exactly does not work there. I changed three converters.
The keyboard worked for 8 hours, and then stopped without any warning.
The only thing that’s wrong is that three switches are broken (my bad).

It could be bad caps.
The first thing to blame on old electronics not working is often electrolytic caps. Even worse since this is capacitive sensing in itself.

Hello Kashtan, did you end up replacing the capacitors?
I'd be interested in which ones exactly you bought. I also plan on replacing my controller's capacitors.

Have a look at this post if you're still interested in changing the controller: viewtopic.php?p=474811#p474811
