I'd be interested in any thick Cherry keycaps (PBT or POM), even if there are off-center stems.

…and if anyone else's interested, I'll be getting rid of some mice or parts, including an Apple Mighty Mouse PCB + trackball (for this mod).

Would any of those have a plate compatible with MX switches?

G81s (and not even all of them) have metal *backplates* with only tiny holes to mount MY switches, not big cutouts.

if so i may have one , its only lazed PBT but i think i have one.

I have a set of German thin PBT lasered caps from a new G80 I salvaged the switches from. I can either send you just the Enter key as tip for your G80-3422LAMIT group buy or you can have the whole set for a small discount on the G80-3422LAMIT.

I don't have a coiled one. but I'm pretty sure I've got a straight one kicking around somewhere if that's any good to you?

thanks HzFaq! I was looking for a coiled one since it's to solder on a Dolch keyboard. I saw old Cherry MY7000/8000 caps GBs, where those keyboards had coiled cables. Did anyone entered those GBs or remember the ps/2 cables?

I have a bag of internals from ca. 400 clicky Alps-clone switches.

I've tried using the tactile leaves in Alps SKCM Black switches (Dell AT101W) and it was a great improvement in tactility imho; a nice starter mod for someone new to this.

does anyome have a some linear Gateron new revision switch (KS-8 or KS-9) that might spare? I've read they are less smooth and sound worse than the previous milky ones (KS-1/3?), but I want to confirm that before buying a new pack of Gats.

Well, maybe he wants to do the mod where you take out the coil springs. Then MY is not so ultra-bad anymore.
