The post right above is a classic GH build - very pretty indeed. 8-)
The 2nd post above of IBM Model M is on the other hand, (almost) a reflection of DT - minimally intrusive to the classics. 8-)

I would install clear keycaps on it, but there are no clear keycaps with iso german layout :) . NerD60 I soldered self uv smd leds on it.
No bluegaloo mods, TA GMK mods with TA typewriter alphas and yes uv leds.
Remembered and found something for your total translucent build:

Transparent caps with ISO (ENTER) layout, but still not sure about the 1.25u L_SHIFT.
I wanted to buy this set (in 'OEM' profile) for a long time  , leider, a UK web store has their (MaxKeyboard) products but not their two blank sets (I use the HHKB + some non-standard layout). IIRC, polycarbonate (PC) caps has a softer than PBT property but unlike ABS caps, will not be 'shined' over usage, just like POM caps and PBT caps.
Clear Translucent:

Black Translucent:
http://www.maxkeyboard.com/max-104-105- ... p-set.html

Edit: One other reason that I like particularly their black translucent set is that the caps look almost just like normal PBT caps when the LEDs are off, however, the LED light will shine through them easily.

Thanks, but the problem is that I can't type on blank keycaps :) .

If these Polycarbonate caps can be laser engraved like these

Then you can have the best of both worlds.

My favorite set of key caps is the Cherry POM blank key cap set. The problem of POM is, doubleshot is difficult and almost non-existing, and dye-sub is only for PBT. Perhaps laser engraving on POM caps can be a compromised solution.

That's some necro :) I'm actually toying with an idea of a naked F XT, with top plate painted pink, lillac or most probably purple. My GF thinks it's for her, but we won't break that illusion she's living in

Well to be fair, pink was considered a rather manly color up till the early 1900s. You could still read advice like this in 1918:
The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl
If one waits long enough, the pendulum is bound to swing the other way as is the case with most fashion trends. Or just screw the norms and go for pink anyway, because it's a nice color. :D

I was actually aware of that. It's just that I, for whatever reason, don't like pink per se. I do however find it nice in some applications. Dark purple, OTOH, is quite nice all by itself :)

The case looks like it is made of leather.

I believe matching the legend color of key caps is very important for the aesthetics of a keyboard.
And the arrow IJKL cluster can apply only in DSA (or R3 SA) profile. Nicely done here. :geek:

Yeah, that's an interesting optical illusion. What you're actually seeing is the aluminum case of the Pok3r resting on a Grifiti Slim wrist pad turned upside down. What appears to be leather stitching is really just the neoprene hatching pattern peeking out.

No. They are stock PBT keycaps from the PMK webstore. I'm way too lazy to dye keycaps.
