Lear Siegler ADM22 terminal

This is a Lear Siegler ADM22 terminal that has the best looking key caps on any vintage computer or terminal that I have. They are very crisp and the typing experience if very good on it. It came with an IMSAI 8080 computer for input and output and has been one of my favourite terminals because of the signature Lear Siegler humpback (like my ADM3A).

Impressive once again. Look like Alps SKCC cream, nice. Any idea how old this is?

Unfortunately, there are no visible date codes on the inside or outside of the keyboard. The CRT portion does not have a date code on the exterior either. Since these were introduced in mid-1982, I would say 1983 or 1984.

Do you have link to the Wiki for this switch? I was going to take pics of an Apple III but the switches looked similar to these so I didn't bother. In that computer, they were vertical. Is that a different witch or the same?

Sure, they look like Alps SKCC to me. No, the orientation should not make a difference I think, but I am not 100% sure. Look on my Japanese IBM they are vertical also.

It could be made in 1984. It's 100% sure Alps SKCC cream.
The keycaps are same as your owned - Alps AKB-3420 keyboard but the color are inverse.
The Apple M0110's switch are the tall cream variant.

Hrmm. I thought I had made a post about that Alps AKB-3420 keyboard here but I made a post at GH replying to a post about the eBay auction that I acquired it from. I'll make a post here in case some here don't go to GH. I'd like to have all of my posts here anyway.

I'm going to check on the difference in caps between the two. You may be right!
