Here she is. The dye sublimation is XT grade. I didn't think Lexmark could make legends this nice... Even the plastic seems higher quality.

These must be the nicest ̶L̶e̶x̶m̶a̶r̶k̶ keycaps I've ever seen. Worthy of a Kingpin.

They came from an M2 donor board. I actually had it shipped in from the Ukraine. I'll jot down the model number later so that people can adjust their eBay searches...

Beautiful board... I have always loved the doubled up backspace on these boards and the use of the legend on the spacebar. I am one of the few yahoos in life where I clank my spacebar left handed every time (nice it has jumpers) ... This is from the OH gov auction haul?

Thanks.
The M15 came from the Ohio lot, yep. I actually use my space bar left handed almost exclusively too, though I just started trying the right bar. It's pretty weird.

I tried to use the right thumb for the spacebar just now: I wasn't able to keep it static on the spacebar like on the left thumb. I'm guessing due to how the hand movement occurs; my right hand does a lot more movement-- like to reach backspace and stuff, whereas my left hand can stay static more or less... which would be ideal for a key that gets pressed so frequently.ohaimark wrote: ↑I actually use my space bar left handed almost exclusively too, though I just started trying the right bar. But keyboards favour the right thumb such as the M15-- with the modifier placed on the LEFT portion instead of the right... boo. There's no way I'm going to retrain years of muscle memory.

Sorry I should have clarified, I meant the left thumb spacebar modifier that turns it into delete instead of space (with the square and squiggly). It would have been nice if that option was offered for both the left and right spacebars. But instead the left side was looked down upon.ohaimark wrote: ↑The donor was a 1399361 M2.
Now I know how left-handed people feel.

this is a top tier keyboard. Lovely caps. I've never seen the underside of one of these, very interesting tenting system.

Wow, good looking dye-sub artworks.
And it's a 'she' - providing human beings pleasure by providing them nice fingertip experience, plus this one can spread.

^ I don't recall exactly what the quality of the XT keyboard was, but this seems to come rather close to it.

This is from my newly-arrived Model F AT, dating from 1984. The internal components are dated to 1983, which means the sublimation could have been shared with the XT keyboards.ohaimark wrote: ↑That is excellent dye sublimation too. No fancy sublegends, though.

The quality of the dye work looks so impressive, it's like printing.ohaimark wrote: ↑F ATs generally have great dyesub work and better texture than Model Ms.
