I bought these for $75 each. :)

Even though I've been accustomed with beginning my photo posts with "terrible disappointment", there really is no way in which I can honestly say that this acquisition was disappointing.

That's right, for that price quite a steal. Congrats!

Damn, nice find. Impossible to pass up at that price. Are you planning on converting them both?

I should mention that $75 was the price that I bought them for, not the final sale price. :?

In fact, I haven't decided whether I'm selling them at all, yet.

Damnit man, you attract beamsprings like no other. Where is this secret Toronto warehouse where I can find one? Do I need to break into the Celestica building?!?

Seriously though - congrats, that is a hell of a buy!

I bought this from a spare parts supplier based in Minnesota. :3

Ok, I'm on the next flight out to Minnesota. Does Porter fly there yet? Probably...I heard good things about their service.

I'll give you $76 for one - you're entitled to a bit of profit too, after all Image .

But would it go into the "to be reviewed" stash or "no review" stash? :P

If I remember correctly you wanted a "fully converted" one when I offered you my 5251 months ago.

Orf course I'd review it! I review everything that I think is interesting - although I'm of course limited to one review a week.

I'm going to review this keyboard alongside my Topre 87-key 55g arriving next week. There would be a scientific drop test — dropped on each other from a height of 3' to check durability :o

There would be, except both are expensive, and I'm not partial to wasting perfectly good keyboards.

One of the keys was binding rather badly, so I pulled out the fly plate and soaked it in some warm water charged with some soap. I'm hoping that the binding is caused by some residue soluble in water.

Holy, there is no way for me to get anything like these in China, let alone the price...
