Local IBM Industrial Model M Find

Today was a great holiday and a great IBM day as well. I was able to score this sweet Industrial M and an AT keyboard. This keyboard comes from a retired engineer who got this keyboard new, directly from Allen Bradley (very expensive). He had ordered these kind of keyboards for work projects and liked them a lot, which is why of course he ordered one for his own use. In his career he saw the decommissioning of a nuclear facility where all of the office equipment was put into containers designed to contain radioactive waste. Not sure if the equipment was shredded prior, but I like to think that in a 1000 years from now (or whenever the stuff is ok) there will be some awesome finds :)

Definitely a cool find and interesting variation on the indy M. Never hurts to find an IBM PC AT keyboard either ;) Great find.

As a vintage electronics fan, I am totally blown away by that AB board. For those who may not know what Allen Bradley did, they made these:

The gold standard of resistors for decades. Kind of like the Model M of electronics components I guess. :)

Congrats on the finds! That SDL connector is pretty nifty, would be neat if that were the standard one used for Model Ms.
