My newest grab,
an apparently undocumented G80-1134 HAX built in 1988.

"Apparently undocumented" because even if Wodan found a keyboard with that exact article no. in one of his legendary recycling center raids, this one features quite special, dual keycaps. And it has its original cord, is fully functional and has vintage MX black switches so smooth that even I feel the difference

Manufacturing date: A30, i.e. somewhere just past mid-1988:

The PCB shows all switches are equipped with diodes, so the keyboard has NKRO:

Both "delete" keys (in the sixpack and the numpad) are labelled "Lösch" instead of the usual "Entf":

Last, but by far not least, the keycaps are German layout, but are also front-printed with (obviously also doubleshot) English legends:

Ha ! nice find, I've heard of one that popped up recently, now I know where it went haha

These are cool keycaps, front printed are always nice to see, will be a nice add to the database !

Interesting board with lovely keycaps. Looks like these ones and the German Zenith G80-1192 boards both have these versions with the Lösch keys. I think the German Zenith ones are HAX boards as well. I personally got a set of "Denglish" caps from a G80-1000 HBD but they have the normal Entf keys.

Is the lock light sticker also a little different? Seems a bit more red tinted than your standard G80.

What a beauty. Reminds me of the Zenith Cherry too!
Glad to know this one is in good hands ;)

This is such a great looking and unique board, really nice find :) It looks to be in good condition as well. Really neat that those english side printed legend are actually doubleshot, and not pad printed.
Any idea or assumption what the "X" in HAX might actually stand for? Or is it just an indication of a special version, as mentioned in the Wiki?

Wow, never thought I'd see DE with US front legends! Great find.

Surely the front legends are pad printed not doubleshot though?

Thinking of it, probably you are right and the front legends are pad printed and coated in the usual Cherry high quality.
In any case, there is absolutely no visible difference.
