Just a little project I'm working on. The top of the Das Keyboard 4 series is aluminum plate, easily removed and painted. USMC Red is a bright, vivid, vibrant red. Cerakote, a ceramic powder coat, is thin and matte.

Absolutely gorgeous. I can tell we are both a fan of red.

Funny how there are so very many different shades of red. It's a nightmare to try to color match just about anything!

GM "Victory Red" is about my favorite shade.

I had a "nightmare" last night where my 4980 Model F was painted red instead of black. Someone had bought it in my dream, but when I got it out to have a look at it before posting it, the paint was flaking off as I touched it.

By the way, that paint looks amazing, but now I know why I had that dream haha.

EDIT: That's freaky. I didn't even notice your use of the word "nightmare", then I literally go on to describe a nightmare... WTF?

I know the above reply is a spam account, but I think it's scary how I had that nightmare before the buyer received his keyboard which was damaged in transit.

That’s a great point. It’s pretty much 100% guaranteed that post will be edited in the next day or few to contain a pointless spam link, for imaginary seo reasons. They’ll even tint the link black, which doesn’t work on our site design as the underline gives it away in any case.

It’s so predictable we might as well auto flag posts with colour tagged links for the mods!
