A photo thread for those who enjoy the finer things in life: capacitive buckling springs and great writing instruments.
Other fine keyboards are welcome here too, like Model Ms, beamers, and the like.
No headphones allowed though, this isn’t r/mechanicalheadpens.
I will go first, with a selection of my daily drivers (too many to all fit on the pen rest I’m afraid):
Keyboard: New Model F77
Pens, left to right:
Montblanc Meisterstück FP
Helix Oxford Premium rollerball (bought it as a body for Signo 207 refills but its own refill is very nice)
Signo 207 gel refill in Sheaffer VFM rollerball body
Sarasa Clip refill in Hi-Tec-C Cavalier body
Pentel EnerGel alloy body
Pentel Tradio EnerGel
Lamy Safari FP
Pilot V-Pen erasable FP
Vision Elite rollerball

When I clicked on the thread, I had expected you to exhibit the use of pencil trays.

Same. Seems like a glaring oversight

Where else to put the pencil if not on top of your keyboard. Atm an Unicomp Ultra Classic at my office desk.

Oh I'm definitely getting in on this!
Scarpia, is that an MB149 or 146? Either one, awesome!
Here's my quick pic with pens on hand!
top row: Pelikan 805 Blue Dunes, Sailor King of Pen, Aurora Optima
middle row: Omas Paragon, Pilot Vanishing Point
lower row: Visconti Homosapiens, Lamy 2000

Wow @Gunsight1 - that’s a classyglorious set of instruments!! The Pelikan, the Sailor 1911, a Visconti, and the Vanishing Point?! Holy crap dude.
My MB is a 146, bought it used many years ago but I hate to admit that I never used it much since the nib it came with is far too stiff for me, and I’m not brave enough to try to replace it. TBH I should just sell it and buy another with the right nib.

Another submission, that pen was given in a little promo kit many years ago:

Two of my favorite things

Neither are particularly special pens, but I only really use them when I need to roughly outline articles or solve videogame puzzles, so yeah.
Don’t short sell yourself, that’s a Jetstream and a Signo 307, two of the nicest feeling writers ever made. Two of my favorite pens are just fancier pen bodies for the Signo refills, and I bought a 10-pack of the Jetstreams the year I discovered them. You have fine taste, my friend.
Oh and the keyboard is nice too

Got a monitor swing arm today to free up some space for my F122

Thanks! The Jetstream is genuinely amazing; I have the Signo on hand for those moments I don't feel like taking a cap off but I almost always just reach for the Jetstream anyway since it's so good.
The F is a brilliant keyboard and pen holder. What's not to love? Hahaha.
Don't have any of my ordered model Fs yet (that F122 looks v nice) but I do at least have a couple of Parkers, one of which is indeed sitting on my 2021 Model M:
Mine look more IBM-ish than some of the others, but that doesn't prove anything. I saved this keyboard back in the day because it was an oddball. Far as I know it's a standard PC/XT Model F, but the plain badge and the odd caps threw me. Unfortunately if it had a label originally it's gone now.
Yes, the stock caps (I think...) are underneath. These were an aftermarket add-on, or at least some of them were
I'm guessing that hitting one of those keys off-axis might make them a tad bindey? I always assumed that was why they stepped them, to force you to hit them dead centre!
