I got this Magitronic D-K170 keyboard in a recent cache of keyboards and decided to down a quick tear down. The build quality isn't great. The case feels light and rather cheap. Many of the keys are yellowed. It has blue KPT switches which are fairly loud. These switches like their Alps counterparts are susceptible to dust and really could use a sonic cleaning. Not quite sure how these buggers come apart yet.

Well, the wiki definitely answered my questions. I didn't see this earlier.

Yeah the KPT in those flimsy cases...one's gotta love the feel. I had one of these but the whole experience was too "light" for me. I could see people liking this keyboard though, the switches aren't total crap, not Alps SKCM level but still usable.

These maybe the very best quality compared to anything produced today so be careful about labeling anything crap when quite obviously, we are ALL stuck in the 'cabbage patch of crapola' when it comes to any current switch being made for use in any keyboard.
