Yeah, forgot about that. And I think you're right, no plate to be seen and that angle also should allow to see an outline of the my switches

Huh, I did message the seller and asked for him to quote the model number, he said it was G81-3000SAG.
Looks like I dodged a bullet in that case!

Apparently IBM model M with Greek legends (reference here) wrongly listed as "Canon keyboard":
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Canon-Tastatur-/151633908362

Interestingly enough, the first bidder hasn't posted it here - probably he'd rather have this one himself

"Six by nine. Forty two."

"That's it. That's all there is."

"I always thought something was fundamentally wrong with the universe"
that's the kind of stuff I love. Yeah give me more fiction kbdfr!

I know what it is. It's still just fiction. OK my phrasing is a little uncalled for. That is a good book.

They don't look like Cherry to me...

Wiki says it might be Aristotle
http://deskthority.net/wiki/Aristotle_Cherry_MX_clone

edit - Looking at the 2nd picture in the ebay link I'd say they are Aristotle. Nice switches, clickier than blues but not as heavy as greens IIRC.

Chicony KB-5981 is the Windows key version of the Chicony KB-5181.[1] It is notable for being possibly the only known Windows key–keyboard with SMK Alps mount "Monterey" switches.

The KB-5981 appears to also be the basis for the SIIG Supertouch 104[2] (model JK-ALW013[3]).
seems like this one is another variant. Sure as hell not Montereys.

Yeah, definitely not Cherry.

They are exactly like the switches on the Aristotle wiki page you linked, so Aristotle it is I guess.

Already got me one as you know kbdfr!
And I HATE ISO...
Funnily enough I have come across at least 3 Greek layouts!
2 ISO, and one ANSI!

I know it's not you, but of course I know who it is, it was easy to find out

I just find it strange that people post long lists of interesting stuff,
directing everyone (including non-DT members) to it and contributing to higher prices
and potentially preventing fellow DT members to get it cheap or even to get it at all,
but on the other hand omit what they're interested in themselves:
Same first (and only) bidder:

Yes, many of our letters are the same as the Latin equivalent, and we don't have many diacritics, so with a few extra legends it works great (in fact I think it is more popular than ISO here)!
A fine example is this one (photek if you ever decide to sell it, PM me!)

Yeah, that look to be a superb thing. I guess keyboards where very pricey at the time, and the guy just thought "why not just build something from my Selectric?"

People where much more into electronics than nowadays.
