Certainly looks good.

Would look better than Ellipse's Model F disaster here. Another keyboard sold just for looks and nothing else.

Christ, if we wanted only 'sculptures' on the wall, it would be far cheaper just to buy ex office surplus from Uni, Factories and Government warehouses.

I'm intrigued, what makes you think ellipse's Model F is a disaster?

Whoever did it was ahead of times. There's your vintage RGB keyboard right there!
The seller is obviously bonkers for demanding 1300 as a starting bid.

Keep in mind the lamp, err, "conversion" was probably done in the late eighties judging by the note inside. Now, 1300$ starting bid with that alteration? nah.

I like the lamp. Starting bid is pretty high, but if whoever gets it has to remove the lamp you might be able to replace it with a lock that could be used to disable the solenoid or to lock the keyboard. I feel like the lamp should stay though, its a retirement board and the lamp was clearly added by the original operator, thats a lot of character to throw out the window.

I doubt the purpose of putting a lamp there? Is it convenient? No, blind your eyes.

From the note inside the board it's a retirement gag gift, they essentially took the guys old keyboard and turned it into a desk lamp.

Neat job, and well done
But a lost opportunity to do a few really thrilling things,
e.g. using the space bar as on/off switch and the up/down arrows for a dimmer.
