I’d like to. I’ve had my eye on these for a while. The dream would be a nos blue alps. One came up a few months ago but my FUNDS cheat code wasn’t working :(

Yeah lmao, even if Bob didn't have a handful for $180 (also NOS) it would be overpriced...but cmon, it's just adding insult to injury! Modern ebay is just whoever has a bot to bid for them and daddy's credit card

The MCK-142 always looked compelling, but it doesn't come in ANSI. At least the Northgates seem to have a plate design amenable to an ANSI modification.

I don't get why with the billion 3x4 macropads out there, nobody's doing a 2x6 explicitly designed to bolt to the left side of a keyboard, or a 2x12 to sit on top, so you can convert an ordinary 101/103/104 to something close to a MCK-142 or Omnikey Ultra.

Pack of three KPT-84, in boxes. US layout. Grey and black colour scheme. PS/2.
Available for "Buy It Now" within Sweden only.
The pack of three didn't sell, so the owner has relisted one for 250 SEK + s/h (Sweden only.), Buy Now only.
Hello, first time poster here.

I've bought two of these from him now. He's really kind but not very knowledgeable about the board. They seem to come with Tai-Hao APC with the whites slider (don't know if it's the 70 or 65 gram versions) and I love the keyboard a lot despite the case being extremely cheap. I've been in contact with the seller over the phone and he told me that he has a lot of them, about 90 apparently. Don't know if they are actually brand new however. It came in a simple box with a recycle symbol on them and they don't have the orginal plastic dust cover that other KPT-84 has with them, also some of the switches seems to have gone under a lot of use, some of mine barely even give off a clickly sound, they still feel really nice but I might just replace mine.

If you're looking for a 65% alps compatible board this might interest you.
Don't know how much demand there is for the KPT-84 but if there is I could try to convince him to sell some of them to people outside of Sweden.

Yes thanks, I'll ask him if he's interested in selling to some people outside of Sweden. He will probably ask for a bit more for them to make it worth his time.

Hello Again!

I asked him and he's up to sell it, he gave me his email address but I don't want to put it out publicly here, so PM me and I'll hock you up with it. He specifically said he doesn't want any spam so I am entrusting anyone who I give it out to that they wont share it around. He's a really nice guy and I don't wanna mess up his email.

Interesting to see this 2nd generation Omnikey has blue alps switches. Price is already high though.

Yes, it’s kind of “too new” to have Blue Alps. Made in 1990. My OmniKey from December of 1989 already has White Alps in it.

Not that I’m saying that it’s not a genuine OmniKey. I just find it amusing.

Ahhh, but this is *not* a Gen2 Northgate! The model number (560-0-0000001), serial number (009-1193), and Vendor (111) are for a Gen1 (gold label) as is the layout. The revision number (6.02) doesn't match anything I have on my list. I can't tell for sure from the photos, but I'll bet the cord is hard wired rather than unpluggable. And the box has an RMA number from Northgate.

This keyboard was probably returned and repaired or refurbished by Northgate where the gold label was replaced with the blue and gray one. We know the paper labels on the bottom were added by Northgate after the keyboards arrived from the manufacturer, so they probably "updated" it (literally) with a new label at that time.
