Congrats, I'm glad you finally found your dream board, and a KB-101A no less!

Edit: Did that seller's original buyer fall through? Looks like this exact board was sold by that seller in February...but it went for like $350. Must have been a case of 'buyer got too excited by Blue Alps before checking their wallet' lol.

Not to throw cold water on the fire, but this looks like the board that I bought and returned. However, it now looks much cleaner. It was originally described as a KB-101AS, but it is actually a KB-101A (the new listing was accurate). Unfortunately, when I tested it, bhe board was completely unresponsive. Perhaps the seller has addressed whatever the issue was. Let us know how it turns out!

This one was not mine! The one you returned is still sitting here.

Maybe a cheap way to get 8 very nice and sturdy keyboard boxes:

I've never gone from a "kill me now" mindset to a "THANK GOD" mindset so fast in my life.

Yes, I know. I returned yours and also the one on eBay -- for different reasons in each case.

I must be crazy to have had two Acer KB-101 boards in my hands (one a 101AS and the other a 101A) and to have let both of them go. Part of it was not being in the mood to do whatever restoration might have been needed. I am sort of losing patience with Alps boards, as just about every one that I have had has required some refurbishing to coax unresponsive keys back to life or to stop keys from chattering. With limited time, energy, and finances, I am starting to focus acquisitions on my preferred switches (Topre and IBM Model F) and form factors (60% and TKL).

So, I think you may be okay with the Acer KB-101A. The problem I encountered might be something very simple; I just didn't have the patience at the time to pursue it, and I thought I could use the refund to add to my F62/F77 order.

Hmmm. Alright. I messaged the seller also, asking if the item was returned (even though I already know the answer) just to see if I could get any additional information.

Man you're gonna give the guy a heart attack Hypersphere! No, really though - it's important that this info gets shared, as the seller's first and second listings look identical except for the price difference.

What's the deal with the one you had? Is it a dead board?

Not dead, every key types. That being said, they are nasty switches. Very very dirty. I would not type on them for long, I can tell you that.

Ahh, that sounds similar to my poor Focus FK-5001, but even worse from what you describe.

Haha, it's so yellowed that it's turned from blue to green xD . Still, a cool board - and the seller mentions he has five of them!

Yeah, I was wondering if that's an Americanism or not. I've only seen it on American boards so far AFAIK, but Americans say "eraser" rather than "rubber" so I wasn't sure.

Well, in america an eraser is what we put on our pencil, and a rubber is... well... slang for a condom
