Reminds me when one of these was for sale months ago and the buyer apparently did not check DT and spent waaayyyy too much on it...

Those boards would go for 500€ if there was a way to make them usable, the smoothness is worth nothing if you can't hook up the board to your computer. They have a novelty factor, a piece of keyboard history and that's all.
The "other" nixie boards are worth more because you can use the switches.

No they woudn't because these switches don't have the insane nixie hype.

This same keyboard with nixies won't work with any PC or Mac either. Same keyboard different switch.

Im not sure. The pics are from an ebay listing/asking the seller to remove a keycap. There is a seperate listing for a keyboard i think is identical to the one shown but with different keycaps and that listing says its clicky.

Do you think they would be worth buying? If so how much do you think should be offered for such a board? Tbh i would probably get it just to have 30 F keys.

The tono theta line used Mitsumi linears of type 1 I believe. Only needs one stabiliser on the whole board because they are so smooth

I can confirm that, I`ve been using a internally very clean Apple M0110A with Mitsumi standard mechanical type 1 switches recently and these are quite nice on my very jaded smoothness scale.

Normally I dont see malice in pricing. Id like to think that they are only as high as they are because they are dated 1984 along with the insane vintage mech keyboard craze that has been happening for a while now.

I`m pretty sure the seller does not even know what he`s selling and $100+ is just too much for a F&F like that although it actually looks pretty nice & interesting. I`d say 30-40 max. but for that it better be nice.

It's also a function of vintage computer collectors wanting keyboards that go with their machines, not keyboards that have certain switches. I'm sure some guy out there would pay that for it if he had an incomplete terminal of some sort.

Dont foam and foil switches eventually end up feeling smoother without the foam (assuming its degraded completely)? Ive seen Chyros report such things on that one huge terminal thing he reviewed a while ago. And even if they are tactile the rubber sleeves could just be removed. I wonder if they would be worth it then... Also since its probably some proprietary connector(the seller on that one 30 F key board said it has something that looks like a 4P4C connector), I wonder how much of a pain an attempted conversion would be.
Also, the seller of that 30 F key board said he has 4 total and apparently are NOS.

"Collector" and "enthusiast" are often used almost interchangeably, but they are very different creatures that may or may not overlap.

Well, the switches will be ultra-crap so it's probably just a bid for the chassis. Which is excellent on the ZKB-2. Either way, good luck!
