[I did not know filco made piles of translucent vomit :P normaly they make classy shit , like my majestouch 2 or my zero( that is filled with green alps now :) ) :D
Filco can swim with the best of them, in any cesspit.

This was an attempted but very conservative copy of the early iMac phase when Jobsie took power of Apple, again. It was his so-called cleverness to introduce bright-Lolly coloured PC casings and ensemble, as the new horizon for Apple Corp.

Little did it mean for every other PC device manufacturer to follow suit. Sometimes what Apple 'fabricates', is best left alone or ignored.

Thats why my external USB floppy drive is translucent green ( like the coloured iMacs)

We need to bring beige back in a big way.

Qtronix board with a 75% layout for $30USD. My brief google search didn't shed much light other than that it's likely slider-over-dome.

Xerox Alto keyboard, for me that's a whole grail-level above even the symbolics 364000 and the micro switch 3277.
Given the recent prices for those, the 2500$ seem almost reasonable.

That is a piece of history and I can see it is coming from a place of honor. Very cool.

For this kind of money I'm sure it's going to a good home, hopefully reunited with a system :)

Same switches as Haata's Tastatur 280 very unique switches interesting to see the full unit along with the system it was designed for.

Looks like Fujitsu leaf spring, and the system itself is cool

I have one of those Merlin boards, though the top case is cracked that I’ll eventually be posting for sale if anyone is interested. It is indeed Fujitsu leaf spring. The area in the top right corner is actually a small matrix display and the logo has a kind of “foil” look to it in person which is pretty cool as well

Ergo buckling spring https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lexmark-Model-M ... 3669630796
This isn't ergo - it's a staggered split keyboard (not that I wouldn't mind getting this one for myself).

How is any split keyboard not ergo? Why else the split design? Because it looks cooler?

It's not ergo because I'm a dumbass that confuses the terms "ergo" and "ortho".

I did not comment because I thought you had expressed a value judgement.
What is ergonomic enough for one person is not enough for another ...

The regular layout is ergonomic for most, and for a lot of people it would seem that all it takes to improve the ergonomics is to flip the space bar.

No, looks like one of the Japanese 5576 keyboards, possibly a 5576-A01, although I am no expert.

There's also this thread by snacksthecat of the restoration of a 5576 in the gallery: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=21171

Why the hell does he want so much for it? Is it just the "Glonuous Nippon" thing, or are there reasons it's needed for the original system to work rightly, or some such? Because I'm used to people asking that price for Beamspring units and I still think that's insane (I can't even remember what I paid for my Displaywriter keyboard and let me assure you it wasn't anything near $100, never mind $1,000. I literally bought it to see if I could use the keycaps on my Model M. I found I couldn't and I put it in the closet with the other moon-interface boards.). Or is he just one of those assholes who sees that people like a certain thing and enters the field on the "million dollar pencil" principle?

And speaking of assholes, don't patronize this guy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Vintage-IB ... 4165153193 I shot him an offer of $50 when he first listed these and he declined it saying he had just listed it and wanted to see if anyone bit at the asking price or made a better offer. Fair enough, thinks I, so I waited until a couple days ago and repeated my offer seeing as he hadn't shifted either set (he has 2). He declines it again saying he is prepared to wait TEN YEARS. I didn't even know how to respond to this level of bullshit.

Man, I'd have offered 25, 50 is well within the realm of reasonable offers

If that keyboard sells, federal financial regulatory authorities should probably be notified on suspicion of money laundering.
