I just made one of my Minitouches even better! I'm still cleaning my spare Alps, sort of, but I didn't want to wait.
Todo: 1) move the Fn key out of the way and put a remappable key there instead; 2) change the LEDs
LEDs changed to red. I found some red LEDs from a ten year old project I didn't finished again haha.
Traces cut and keys rewired. I tried to just desolder the keys and isolate them so I wouldn't have to cut the traces, but it was too hard without heat shrinks. I swapped Fn and Insert.
Time to put it back together:
It's too much crap in there! Foiled again.
Next step: rewire and make sure it's really flat

Is's completed! Red leds and changed Fn with Insert. Now I just have to actually use the key for something lol. And I'd like to get rid of that large enter button too. Del/backspace is too high up!
I ran two wires between the plate and pcb; call me Mr. Smart. Assembled! My keyboard has the evil!

Nice mod. I like the red leds, but they clash with those fugly green key caps! Would like to see you get rid of that big Enter key.
