Hi All,

Back with another NCD find. This time it's a N-108LK in a DEC Style layout. This keyboard uses HI-Tek 725 Series Linear White 2 Eye switches.

Just like the other the other NCD keyboard this one is NOS(New Old Stock). Additionally, this keyboard uses white clicky switches that are now linear due to the click arm being removed.

Unfortunately, when I got this keyboard and plugged it in I noticed that the keyboard was not mapped correctly and the keyboard was also not sending break codes. Also the lock lights really didn't work properly at all either.

So time for some investigate work.... I noticed that there is a jumper that set the main controller either into XT or AT and currently it was in the AT position. Rather having to remap the whole keyboard and deal with sending fake break codes I put the keyboard in to XT.

Now most of the keys are remapped properly but not all. That being said the main concern was being able to use the original cable that came with the keybaord as I'm typing this out on said keyboard.

I will post an edit with the proper remap for Soarer's converter later on once I build one with the proper remap.

EDIT:

He is the reamp file for Soarer's converter.

Code: Select all

remapblock
	PAD_EQUALS DOWN
	F12 UP
	F11 LEFT
	FAKE_01 RIGHT
	PAD_PLUS PAD_ENTER
	EXTRA_SYSRQ LGUI
	EXTRA_F4 INSERT
	EXTRA_PAD_PLUS	DELETE
	EXTRA_F5 HOME
	INTERNATIONAL_6	END
	EXTRA_F6 PAGE_UP
	EXTRA_F1 PAGE_DOWN
	F17 PRINTSCREEN
	F13 F12
	EXTRA_F7 F11
endblock

I also noticed that this keyboard also has N key rollover which I surprisingly I failed to check for.

Thanks for reading!
