Hello, everyone!

I was attempting to build a Soarer's converter with Teensy++2.0, for my G80-1813HFX.

However, the only result that I could pull out was ending up seeing R04, R05 or/and R06 codes spammed on my hid listener and never worked at all.

These are the steps that I have passed through, so you might take a look and give me some advices, which in case I would be very grateful!

1. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46 ... msg1035707 Based on this post on GH, I have learned that the cables on the board connected to the phone jack is the following:

B-Ground/G-Vcc/W-Data/R-Clock

2. I connected those cables connected to the phone jack with Teensy++2.0 like the following:

B w/GND, G w/Vcc, W w/PD0, and R w/PD1

3. Then I have used the windows version of the teensy loader downloaded from PJRC, and selected Soarer_at2usb_v1.12_at90usb1286.hex then pressed the program button

4. Used hid_listen.exe provided by Soarer for informations, however every single time I have tried, also with other versions of the firmware, this was the result more or less:

Code: Select all

Waiting for new device:...
Listening:
R06 wEE

remaining: FFF8

Keyboard ID: 0000
Code Set: 1
Mode: PC/XTR04

Device disconnected.

It has been 3 hours just on trying to make this converter to work and now it is almost a torture

I would happily answer any ideas, questions, suggestions, or/and advices on this!

Thank you for your time :)

I fried it.

Replacement G80-1800 compatible PCB?
Some open source ones on Geekhack that work too.
