Opening Memorex Telex rubber dome case

I have a Memorex Telex 3270-style terminal coming from eBay in a couple of days. Got a keyboard to go with it. Man, this thing is a piece of crap to type on, even compared to a scissor switch Apple.
It stinks of cigarette smoke, and I'd love to get in and clean that up. How do I get the case open?
