Nice pics. Like the squircle. Is this something you’re getting manufactured? Fancy making it for switches that aren’t MX? ;)

High-profile spherical isn't really my thing, but about time we get a profile with convex bottom-row modifiers!

Hear hear! Convex mods are special. Not only spacebars but the whole bottom row should be thumb centric. Something I still miss.

Now, about Topre mount… :D

This looks very promising! Excited to see what this one will turn into

Also, that's a very professional looking design-portfolio you got there :o

How about the whole of Row 5 being convex? I'd like arrow keys that way, too.

Colour me intrigued. Especially re: how you're physically making these. Your demo caps look quite unusual in material!

Your procedurally designed profile is impressive. Having SA and MT3 sets, I find I actually prefer cylindrical caps in practice! But I'd be intrigued to see you try something just as fresh there. See, Topre and NMB cylindricals are similarly small-topped to your sphericals. They have a lot "fillet" to try to use your terminology, perhaps imprecisely. There's a lot of taper from base to top, like you're up to here. I wonder what a tall cylindrical with small tops would be like? Especially with convex edges!

I always really liked that about my PowerBook's keyboard: its keys are all convex on the front. Or at least that's my lasting impression.
Spoiler:

The front "lip" on spherical caps is what puts me off them. Especially towards the front of the board, where they jut up and eventually annoy me while typing.

Resin, right, that’s what makes them glow. They look fun in pictures but I imagine they’re not going to hold up great under real typing. (You’ve seen my PowerBook’s poor A key!)

Impressive legends you’ve got onto resin. I’ve no idea how you did that. Inked?

The edge which bites me is the front edge: the lip of the spherical cup that points toward the spacebar. I don’t mind the other, upper edge nearly so much, while the left and right actively help in locating the key. So yes a horseshoe shape would be best for me, with the open face towards the user.
