Please vote for nominees for the *Ping* Award 2013. What was the worst keyboard or keyboard/input device related experience in 2013?
You can use a maximum of 5 votes.

This is round 2. This round is used to trim down the suggested nominees from round 1 - the 5 entries with most votes will be promoted to official nominees and make it into the third and final round.

See the first round for reference and motivations.

What was the "Vortex vaporware"? There was no reference in the first round thread.

^ I believe they posted pictures of soon to be released keyboards on facebook, but they were never released.

Currently ahead are, in alphabetical order:

"Deskthority - a small moan" topic at geekhack, eBay sellers for being too expensive and for lousy shipping, GMK's MOQ, PayPal for its persistence to lock accounts with no good reason and TheProfosist for his failed Phantom groupbuy.

Wou,d be great if "GMK's MOQ" wins. Maybe they re-think their policy and lower the MOQ to only 300.

BTW, is Facebook the website where the black rectangles are hosted, some people post from time to time?
:?

PayPal's business is getting in the way. GMK's is making molded plastic. So GMK winning this prize for the dumb rigidity of their MOQ is much more likely to be effective. Nonzero even!

Thanks, Muirium!

The jury has decided:
The 2013 Ping Award goes to: GMK

Would have prefered if GMK was just one nominee instead of two. They honestly deserve to win!

Sounds like they're a real contender in the final round. Good stuff! Actions, not words, people.
