Please vote for your winner of The *Ping* Award 2013. What was the worst keyboard or keyboard/input device related experience in 2013?

By voting in this category you can win a Minila from The Keyboard Company.

This is the final round. See the first round and second round for reference.
Tippen, Tappen, Tödchen.

The official nominees are:

"Deskthority - a small moan" topic at geekhack
Some kind of group moaning exercise involving strong opinions about some forum having strong opinions. Obviously not deskthority club members.

Image
Geekhack members gathering to discuss the outrageous nature of deskthority.

eBay sellers for being too expensive and for lousy shipping
The price is too damn high! And then they ship it in a plastic bag or in a huge box without padding.

Image
eBay sellers meeting. No comment.

GMK's MOQ
GMK still gets spanked by Signature Plastics in keycap group buys, because of their inflexible, high minimum order quantity.

Image
Man who had to buy 300 bananas because of MOQ problems.

PayPal for its persistence to lock accounts with no good reason
They sabotage our group buys! They take our money! When will we revolt?

Image
A typical day at PayPal.

TheProfosist for his failed Phantom groupbuy
Uh-oh, someone went missing while in the middle of a groupbuy.

Image
No longer held back by lack of scale and batteries, TheProfosist presents his home-made scale, which requires no batteries.

This award wins the award for best contestants' gallery. Nicely done, Webwit.

I actually almost bought one of the plastic IBM stands, no computer in it, just the shitty keyboard. Kind if wish I could've moved it, was only $5.

QFT. The presentation made my day. :D
ebay sellers being stupid? Not just a keyboard problem, I tell ya. Phantom and small moan are regular downsides of online communities, paypal is annoying as !"§$%&/ but won't change anyway -because they can. There's a slight chance that GMK reconsiders their MOQ of bananas if they win this, even a drop by 50 kits would be a step in the right direction. So I gave them a ping.... :geek:

A bit of public shaming for Paypal can't hurt.

I'd say the only one really related to keyboards: GMK's MOQ

I'd say too high and too low prices on ebay balance out each other. Same with PayPal, it's still just the best way to pay for keyboard stuff internationally, all their competitors like Western Union etc. suck even more. GH moan thread is not worth the PING award. GMK and Profosist both deserve it, I'm going with TheProfosist.

Thanks webwit, great presentation -- here especially, but also on the other categories.

Yeah, great presentation of the contenders, webwit!

Please vote for GMK. It's just ridiculous how they demand 300 MOQ the first time, then suddenly raises it to 400 and (IIRC, according to Sherryton) raise prices later aswell! Either they are very clever or extremely stupid! but I'd go for the later, since the example for good business is already set by SP!

If TheProfosist wins, tell him you will really ship the prize soon, once you got a scale.

If GMK wins, tell them you will ship the prize, once they won this contest 400 times in succession.
