Please suggest nominees for the Best input device photo in 2014. You have to give a short motivation for each suggestion. The photo must have been published since November 2013. You cannot nominate yourself.

By voting in the third round of this category, you can win a keyboard cable from Pexon PCs!

In this round you can earn multiple entries in the draws for voter prizes: if you are the first to suggest a particular nominee and the suggestion gets at least 5 votes in round 2, you get an extra entry in the draw for the prize by the sponsor of the related category. If your suggestion is voted as an official nominee and makes it to round 3, you get another extra entry.

The first round ends on Thursday 27 November, 00:00hrs UTC.

Current suggestions:

Please see below.

I'm currently looking through various threads for nice pictures and will post some entries later this evening - if it is allowed to add more than one nominee!

Same here. Multiple nominations are definitely allowed. I'm not sure about self nominations though. (We discussed this already but I forget.)

I'll start with some entries i found so far from late 2013 and 2014 which are expressing somehow keyboard love, and/or summarize perfect what is going on here. So the focus is not on the keyboard model itself, may it be rare or not.

Some great photos there! Only 1 member nominating so far, if it stays such an inactive category I might retire it in round 2. Maybe it doesn't work - I myself have seen some great photos last year but find it very difficult to remember in which topics.

Unfortunately yes, very inactive. Maybe some of the usual suspects who like to take pictures were not on DT online the last 2 days, so let's see.

It's true, not easy to find pictures in the various threads you remember! I'm searching for two or three i can't find but remembering they are gorgeous.

I think this is a very nice category, but I agree, it's difficult to remember where you've seen nice photos! I've only been a member for a couple of months though, so I might have an easier time than most :)

However, I'd like to nominate madhias with cZ054kM.jpg

When do nominations close? And can we self nominate? (I've been having a busy weekend so far here… and need some hours to sleuth around.)

I missed this thread somehow. I've seen plenty of awesome photos this year, but it is a bit tricky to remember where. It can also be difficult to separate photo quality from the subject. I've seen amazingly crisp photos taken of ugly, uninteresting keyboards. So, although the photography was excellent, I wasn't that interested in looking at it.

Now, maybe if it was a photo like this....
(semi-nudity warning)
Spoiler:
Adam Computer.jpg
...but until somebody takes a nice nude (female only!) with a keyboard, I'm going to have a hard time not being biased picking vintage keyboard photos over possibly better shot photos of modern keyboards.

That's it, unfortunately. There just aren't many nudes with half-decent keyboards. I'm too much of a keyboard snob to collect photos of nude girls posing beside rubber domes.

I didn't pick these photos because of the skulls. It just so happens a lot of the nice photos out there include them

I think I'm missing some, especially from Muirium. I wish everyone had a flickr account like me. It would make things much easier!
