Kaihl spring weight and tactility

The best switch I have ever tried, tactility wise, is the Kaihl Navy Speed. However it's very impractical as the springs are so stiff that my hands get too tired when I type on it after 15 minutes. And I was just using it on the space-bar!
I want to swap the spring out with something lighter (while leaving the click-bar alone).
But how will this affect the tactility?

With a lighter spring and the same click bar thickness, the tactility will increase as the lighter spring will give less support after the tactile event. Box jades have a lighter spring than box navy.

However, using a lighter spring can sometimes cause the switch to not reset as it cannot overcome the click bar.

I prefixed Kaihl to your thread title as this question presupposes a certain design of switch. There is no clickbar on a lot of switches, and the misleading / unending pedantry which could result from people pointing this out and the whole menagerie of ways the question makes insufficient sense makes even me wince!
I’d defo try a few different spring weights for experiment’s sake. Quite likely you’ll run into that problem though: too light to reliably return to starting position. That reminds me of similar debates about MX ergo clears.

Thanks. Apologies, it was very late and I was extremely tired when I worded it.

I may just start by swapping them with springs from some of my other switches and just "hone" in on the lightest I can get without interfering with the start position.

Aye, that's the spirit. A bit of experimenting should establish whether you can hit the sweet spot. This is where a good selection of alternate weighted springs can be very handy; hopefully well labelled!
No worries about the thread title. We all make mistakes (unless we
don't have a Backspace key), I pointed out my edit in case you were wondering WTF happened. No, phpBB has not reached self-awareness… yet! Thank goodness.

wierd after posting, but left it alone. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. So,

Hey, it truly doesn't matter...as long as we're all using a dumbed-down search engine like Google where misspellings actually increase the number of hits.

Dumbed down and worse. When I want goggles, I expressly want goggles, googles!
