if you find other people in US maybe tinlong might be willing to ship to the new continent.

Someone's getting caps sent to California already. The big stuff is all going to Germany and Australia, as things stand.

You Aussies will need to figure out who you want Tinlong to ship to. We're trying to bundle our orders the best we can, to save on postage for us, and hassle for him. He's doing us all a nice favour, see.

Matt3o, you miss Gulfar order. He and I are going to join efforts (beware the Spaniards!). Some other Spanish folks have also joined the cause, that's why we'd like a single shipment to Spain, if possible (I wrote a PM to tinlong, but he must be pretty bussy).

For simplicity, here you have the complete Spanish order, ready to C&P:

Code: Select all

NMB: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=0.0.0.0.AbQp5c&id=10804834726
Mx Blue: 3X http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.0.99.azdM8F&scm=1007.77.0.0&id=3150914946&pvid=000a09d2-4ac2-43cd-af25-7cf4e06f8161&ad_id=&am_id=&cm_id=&pm_id=
SSK: 2x http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=3642278402 (or any "cheap" SSK)
NMB: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=0.0.0.0.gFiaxB&id=3655607306
Cherry http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=0.0.0.0.Dbcnac&id=12245755346
and here another copy for easy checking: I know the SSK stock is not realistic at all, but just in case, if we get some boards, we want to make clear our interest on them (always respecting the queue) ;)

Yeah, the only thing I know about the SSK queue is that I'm at the head of it. Maximum disappointment so you don't have to!

So you Spanish are going for a direct shipment including keyboards too? I suggest looking back in the thread to where Tinlong quoted shipping rates to many countries in Europe. You'd basically have to pay that by yourselves for a separate shipment. Calculate whether there's enough of you or if you'd be better going through Germany with the rest of us, this hemisphere!

My understanding is as soon as keyboards are inside, parcels get much more expensive to ship around the world.

tinlong has the final word but I'd try to keep the number of shipments as low as possible. 1 EU, 1 US, 1 AU seems reasonable enough.

@Murium, IIRC, I have an intermediate possition in the SSK queue for one of the keyboards, I've expanded the order, but right now our second SSK is the lowest priority one. I guess we have to try to get as many of them as possible and after that, start to carefully study the thread :P

@Matt3o, I see your point and I agree about keeping it simple, ignore our request for specific shipping to Spain, it may be even cheaper going through Germany.

I don't know of anyone else here in Oz wanting to get involved (I may be wrong here) but so far it's only been me :D .

Hence I'm happy to pay for my stuff to get to me here. Let me know if there are other aussie's wanting shipping of their goods to my place here in Greenmount, Western Australia.

I could then ship everyone else's to their hood as soon as possible.

You guys, delaying the deadline is bad for my wallet...

Please add this to my order if it's still available http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=0.0 ... 2734471477
I hope this doesn't change the seperate shipping to Belgium? Paranoid, Tinlong, can you guys confirm?

There is no separate Spanish shipment planned. Everyone in Europe is going through one shipment to Germany. Otherwise everyone's paying a ton of postage, and we'll drive Tinlong nuts.

The only good excuse for a separate shipment for anyone in Europe is if you are ordering something tiny, like caps, and that's it. But even so, things get hella complex back in Hong Kong.

@matt3o thanks for the update! :)
Okay so there is another guy wanting stuff here in Australia.

Because there are only 2 people here, can tinlong still send our stuff separately? After all if another 3 or 4 people sign up here then everything ordered will have to go to one place to save on shipping.

Just depends on what tinlong wants to do. Happy with what ever decision he chooses 8-) .

I think it's not really feasible to ship it straight to Belgium if you order that fat bastard. It will probably drive shipping up a lot in terms of volume and weight. It was cheap because we only ordered small, light stuff..
I understand that it's cool though.

I just want the cheapest possible way to get the stuff I want :) hell, I'd even drop the switch boards if that helps in a significant way. We must wait for the holy tinlong to give us a final verdict.

  • brighenne

Arrange between yourselves which one Tinlong sends your stuff to. There's no way he's shipping to everyone individually. The original group buy he agreed to was for one single shipment to Europe!

Tripling his work with one shipment to Australia and one shipment to America in addition to our one in Germany is plenty enough to ask from anyone.

Yes, just that seller. You almost held out, 7bit!

The last item on your list – the Model F Space Unsaver – caught my eye, too. We investigated it a bit. To cut to the chase, I'll just quote myself:
Muirium wrote:The "Model F Space Unsaver" may more likely be a Honeywell rubber dome version, according to Dorkvader who goes into fine detail here:

http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/buc ... ml#p112243
So that's a no.

The two other Model F's you're looking at are ones I considered, too. How about we take one each?

The current plan is to ship to everyone in Europe via Germany. Halvar kindly offered to do it for us.
