do I miss something? Is there a second keyboard inside the ugly computercase? I mean those highscreen boards are nice, especially the dye-subs, but this one is yellowed and looks shiny...

I really like the two-digit LED counter for the clockspeed in Mhz. :D

Not even dyesubs....it says HBD.

Guess the price is also about the PC. These 386's running quite high sometimes. I once spotted a black G80-3000HAD, but it was offered together with a 386 from Escom (black line). Final bid was EUR 200. :?

Yep, the keyboard definitely isn't worth that price. Nowhere near it. I'm guessing someone actually wants the PC. It's not even a SAD. It's a HBD.

Yes, someone believed in his selfless protip...

("Bid early and high and let the eBay proxy system take care of the rest"). Yeah, sure.

I agree on the first one!

Second one is from an IBM PC.Jr. It's rubber dome as far as I know, not Buckling Spring.

That would look great with pIqaD lettering, except that the numeric keypad didn't get with the program …

[quote="collector of junk"or is it bucking spring ?

Depends on whether the case is dimensionally transcendental. If they can pull that feat off, then we can look forwards to some awesome laptop keyboards. (The weight problem is also solved somehow, as we know.)

It's probably rubber domes but it looks kinda cool.

Ugh. Those HP keyboards were utterly abysmal. We had them on some diskless workstations in the '90s and... ugh. Getting all kinds of horrid flashbacks now...

There's a variant with Fujitsu leaf spring switches, but I don't care for those either. The industrial design is neat on HP's keyboards of that era, though.

Yeah, I like the styling, but the implementation is awful. You can actually see the keys are all wonky in the picture. Rattly piece of rubbish. Hmmm... could be an interesting project to convert one of those into something worth typing on.
