Phantom plate mini-GB

Hi.

I'm getting myself a variant Phantom plate laser cut, 1.5mm plain aluminium. The price scaling is seriously non-linear- the first plate would be around 60 GBP + P&P, but subsequent plates much less. So, if anyone wants one, please say. I'm happy to send to the UK, and could have my arm twisted for EU, maybe.

The worst-case price would be around 35 GBP, with UK delivery. I'm sure someone will tell me "But I can get a one-off for that price, why bother?". In that case, please tell me where you buy from! Otherwise, I'm hoping the price should scale down nicely with a larger order.

So, any interest?

GBs for plates happen every now and then. This seems like the most recent which isn't closed yet: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=537 ... msg1232147

Thanks, that's rather interesting.

On the other hand, it's not quite what I was after - the plates I'm planning are somewhat non-standard, which doesn't look like it fits with their GB. If I were more patient, http://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/grou ... t7474.html (pointed out by Muirium) looks good, too.

It's probably a bit irrational, but I'll probably still end up doing my own order instead. I'm sure it'll be a good learning experience, at any rate! I've been PM'd by another nutter willing to go along with me on this, which should take us past the worst part of the price curve...

Still looking for an ISO 125 for my Phantom. Where can I find any CAD files to produce one myself, or are there any other groupbuys supporting the ISO layout?

You can find the CAD files in the Wiki-page for the Phantom, but be careful, they are in inch, not in mm. To get them in mm you have to scale them up by 25,4.

Now that I have the plate layout, there are two more issues for me to let the plate be made.
How can I change the layout from inches to millimeters in LibreCAD?
And how thick was the Plate? I will be using Costar Stabilizers, was there any problem with it?
I've read through a few forum posts, but actually there are to many sites, so I couldn't read everything in detail.
If this all works fine, I'll probably produce more than a few plates, which i would sell for the building costs.

Plate thickness: 1.5mm. Costar stabs should be working fine.

But it seems there isn't any link in here: wiki/Phantom_instruction_guide
