Consider all the money you will spare because you won't have to pay for shipping keyboards to The NetherlandsAscaii wrote: Time isn't the problem, money for said vacation is.^^
I'll do a short writeup of the meeting once it happens. Might even tweet it

Maybe we can travel together. Then, it is only 300km.

It will be quite a strange but pleasant experience: talking to people about keyboards without getting that look of disbelieve followed by some ironic comments.

I'd love to come, however I have some questions:
a) I'm currently quite a newb when it comes to keyboards and mainly looking for advice on what I should want to order. Is that fine?
b) Where is this? Maybe I'm just missing things, but I can't see. EDIT: nvm, saw it. Blindness...
Hope you can help me:)

Being a newb is fine. Great chance to try all those different keyboards on 1 day.MorpheusEU wrote:

It's a pity somebody did not organize this when I started collecting, could have saved me a small fortune

Well, I thought that 20:00 would be a decent wrap-up time. After 20:00 my family will be given a chance to return home and go to bed7bit wrote:"The Netherlands from 14:00 to 20:00 at the following date"

Yeah would be nice to responsibly enjoy some cold beverages with my fellow Keyboard nerds before we all head back home. But I guess we could also just do that in the afternoon.7bit wrote:Ony until 20:00?

Updated OP :
on 23 June 2012 the first Dutch Deskthority Keyboard Party will take place.
I would like everybody who voted for that day to notify me so I can add him ( I guess there will be no hers ) to the attendance list.
Regards.

I'm also going to have a lot to trade on that day :
Thinking of offering :
Used Ibm model M13 ( BS )
NIB Avant Prime ( White alps )
NIB Siig Minitouch ( White alps )
Used Das keyboard professional ( Mx blue )
NIB Topre Realforce 103UUW
...And who knows what I might pick up in the mean time
Looking for :
Extremely cheap sources of keyswitches of all variants( BS/ MX/ Alps/ Monterey/ Omron). Here is your chance to get rid of all your un-sellable/un-wanted keyboards!
On that day, no euros will be handed over during a trade, only keyboards/keycaps!

HNNNNG! I feel like a steel ball bearing near an electromagnet!
I would LOVE to have do "keyboard trading party", I have so many interesting things I know people would love to see or have. Is anyone from Berlin or Brandenburg area driving over for this event? Perhaps we can work out a car sharing agreement or something.
I was going to post a few things from my collection for sale soon due to my move...but showing them off in person would rock!
